I really hope this is true. I can't wait and I don't care if it costs € 100+, this is a must buy for me :pir-blush:

From my experience, it is true. Also it is not just a "rumor", we have minifigs descriptions and photos pirate_blush.gif

It is possible that it is untrue, but the photo of the ship is quite convincing. It has also been created a new page in Brickset, http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=3817-1 which has a different number. It does not proves anything but...

I think someone made that up, remember, it's wiki, people can just write whatever they want,

practically I could just sign in there and write it will include a Kraken as well.

Besides, set 6234 already excists

http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6234

I must say though the author managed to make it somewhat believeable ( 2067 pieces, nice number)

But he knows too much about it for me to believe it either way :pir_laugh2:

Now, it would be awesome if there would appear an official Flying Dutchman in 2012 but I remain sceptical :jollyroger:

That other number (3817) on Brickset refers to the Spongebob's Flying Dutchman.

And where do you see pictures, I can't seem to find them...

:hmpf_bad:

Considering the author writes "There is 12 minifigures" on the LEGO wikia page, I would seriously question this entry.

After reading the whole description, I think it's just someone making things up... There are other sets that haven't been released. e.g. 'The Fort Rescue', 'Beckett's Office', 'Tortuga' & 'Isla Cruces', ...

Althought there are a lot of inconsistencies: In the Beckett's Office set he resembles the video game version and on the flying dutchman he has an other outfit. He has short legs in the first set and long legs in the second set. Seems like bogus to me

But we can always dream this is the whole new wave :pir_laugh2:

That was a design for the Flying Dutchman in the Video Game. I saved the pics yesterday... I think there won't be any new PotC sets in 2012 but we can always hope near the end of 2012 or when the 5th movie launches worldwide.

That is Carl Beatrix Flying Dutchman done for the video games; check TBTB or other forums for the photos which are infact renders. The set number refers to a model from Spongebob...

I'm closing this topic as it's just speculation, and speculation can be done in this thread.

A new thread can be created when we have more certainties and pictures. If it happens at all...
