Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I take the box outside to an open space at a safe distance from buildings, attach a string to the lid, walk far away, and open it...
Bob Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 I take the box outside to an open space at a safe distance from buildings, attach a string to the lid, walk far away, and open it... Sarah opens the box using a very complicated system. Nothing happens when the box opens.
Fugazi Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Sarah opens the box using a very complicated system. Nothing happens when the box opens. Um... I would like to have a look inside the box. So it would seem this is all there is to see in the police station. Where should we go next? Back to the Chief's house, assuming that the forensic investigation is complete? We don't have serious leads to follow at the moment, unless I forgot something?

There's a key inside the box. "The Chief's house is still sealed, but for a different reason. I believe the Chief's family is coming in, and taking their belongings. It's their right to do so, since it is not a crime scene."
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I put on appropriate protection for my body agains fire, explosions, poison gas, etc., and try the key on the briefcase lock.
K-Nut Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 We don't have serious leads to follow at the moment, unless I forgot something? True, it's really a shot in the dark for now. Let's review the list: Government Buildings: -Town Hall -Police Station -Fire Department Business Buildings: -Ashley's Grocery Store -Jordan Department Store -Montgomery Pet Store -Lexington Docks Residential Buildings: -Montgomery Residence -Jordan Residence -Jackson/Baker Residence -Marcus Baker's Lighthouse -Hutch Residence -Robertson Residence -James Swanson's Home -Robbie Swanson's Home -Scott Residence Shall we start from the top of the list and go down?
Bob Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 I put on appropriate protection for my body agains fire, explosions, poison gas, etc., and try the key on the briefcase lock. Dressed like a complete megablock, Sarah opens the briefcase. "That was a bit of a disappointment." Sarah says. Inside the case is a one hundred dollar bill, a pistol, and a collection of papers secured by a rubber band.
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Putting bullet-proof protection on over my existing suit, I take the pistol and read the contents of the papers aloud. I also check to see how many rounds are in the pistol. Carefully, of course.

I also check to see how many rounds are in the pistol. Carefully, of course. As Sarah leaves to fetch her bullet-proof vest, she's stopped by Deputy Chief Scott. "You're really taking this life point thing seriously, aren't you? " Sarah shudders, and then reads the contents of the papers. A letter to my love, Dear love, It's been such a long time since we've seen each other, I am eagerly awaiting the chance when I can see you again. I shall soon leave my life to join you. You need to visit Lexington more often. I miss you so much, and I can't wait until you're in my life forever. Yours forever, Arnold There are several letters like this, all addressed to different women, including the Chief's wife. The pistol has all of its rounds in it.
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Better safe than sorry." I would like to read, aloud, the names of the other women to which the Chief wrote the letters.
Bob Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 "Better safe than sorry." I would like to read, aloud, the names of the other women to which the Chief wrote the letters. There aren't any names listed with the letters.
Fugazi Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 There are several letters like this, all addressed to different women, including the Chief's wife. The pistol has all of its rounds in it. Quite a womanizer, the Chief! I don't know if this helps, perhaps one of the women he cheated with became jealous... Remeber we're looking for a motive for REVENGE. But without names, where to start? For our safety, the pistol should be left in the custody of a police officer -- I suggest officer Patterson here.
Peanuts Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Excuse me, but I believe we haven't investigated the Squad Room properly, have we? At least I can't remember doing so. I'd like to have a description of the Squad Room, please.
Mrlegoninja Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Is there any way we would know how long the papers have been in the briefcase? Are there any dates on the papers?
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 For our safety, the pistol should be left in the custody of a police officer -- I suggest officer Patterson here. You don't trust me? Fine, I give the pistol to Officer Patterson.
Jedi master Brick Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I think we are done in here. I would like to know what make is the pistol
CMP Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Created the day he died? It sounds like he was walking out the door knowing he was going to die. But he left his briefcase, even though it apparently had a lot of important stuff in it. Hm...
Jedi master Brick Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 He could of been drugged before he was murederd. I would like to know where the chief goes for lunch
Fugazi Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 You don't trust me? Of course Mrs. Jordan! But I think it's better for all of us that the weapons are stowed in safety until whoever is responsible for the Chief's murder is found. We don't want anyone to be shot by accident because we're a bit stressed out. Perhaps we could visit the Town Hall, maybe something there could shed some light on the past of the Chief.

Professor Flitwick Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "I'm in favour of visiting the town hall, we have no other major leads to go on". You should all put on bullet-proof armor over Hazmat suits, like me. "Please, we won't to be protected, not asphyxiated!"
Bob Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Quite a womanizer, the Chief! I don't know if this helps, perhaps one of the women he cheated with became jealous... Remeber we're looking for a motive for REVENGE. But without names, where to start? For our safety, the pistol should be left in the custody of a police officer -- I suggest officer Patterson here. "Sure, I'll hold onto it." Excuse me, but I believe we haven't investigated the Squad Room properly, have we? At least I can't remember doing so. I'd like to have a description of the Squad Room, please. The squad room has four desks, in rows by two. The desks have phones on them, as well as a lamp and some pens. Is there any way we would know how long the papers have been in the briefcase? Are there any dates on the papers? There is no way to know how long they've been in the briefcase. There's no dates on the papers. I think we are done in here. I would like to know what make is the pistol It's a Smith and Wesson SW1911. He could of been drugged before he was murederd. I would like to know where the chief goes for lunch Several places all over the area. Since the day is almost over, there will be no more investigations. If you'd like, you can send in your actions early. You may converse amongst yourselves until the chapter has concluded in about two hours.
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I suppose I should follow up by asking if anyone knows where the chief ate his meals on the day he was killed.
Rumble Strike Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Winston frowned as the letters were read out. "There's no more powerful an emotion that love, and it can lead you down roads you may not wish to travel. So I think perhaps a vengeful lover is a top suspect. Apart from that, we don't have much else to go on."
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 He could of been drugged before he was murederd. "I think the coroner would have found traces of the drugs if that was the case." "I'm up for visiting the town hall as well."
