February 24, 201213 yr This is pure genius! I love how you implement the features and "hide" the levers in the framework. I will definitely test it myself. Thanks for sharing
February 24, 201213 yr Okay that makes perfect sense now. very nice solution! Do you think the 24t gear will be able to handle a lot of force? tim
February 24, 201213 yr Author I think not. i have used the 24 tooth crown gear only to make the gearing so simple as possible, to make the concept more clear. In my logging truck i use three 8tooth to get the same effect. Edited February 24, 201213 yr by efferman
February 24, 201213 yr is it this what you want? Nicely done! The submarine alternate model of 8480 does exactly the same thing in the gearbox. The motor drives a single direction, but you can mechanically reverse the direction of the loading ramp and nose hatch.
February 25, 201213 yr Author really? then i know whre my idea come from. update: first i had only want to implement the stabilizers. till then the gearbox was simple, now it is a labyrinth of gears and axles.
February 25, 201213 yr The first thing I did was to see the 8480 , not labyrinth at all, good work. We have to make a post about what colours of bricks are frequently use in our MOCs... my mania is try to use same color all the work, obviously it isn´t your case .
February 25, 201213 yr Author the same color on the whole moc? this would give a black hole by the way, mudguard or not?
February 25, 201213 yr I want to say frame one colour, body another... About mudguards better without them, they are too bigs for the scale of the truck in my opinion.
February 25, 201213 yr I'm liking the progress! Are the rear axles your tandem arrangement? I'd say yes to the mud guards. Is there gonna be a trailer then?
February 25, 201213 yr Author hm, it seems that mudguards have many fans. @ sam42 yes it is my tandem axle, and yes it will have a trailer with the self steering system @ jorgepoesi when it is finished, the it will hopefully look clean. Edited February 25, 201213 yr by efferman
February 25, 201213 yr I suspected as much, after all, the truck with no trailer would be a little pointless, it'll look good with the trailer sat on the back..
February 25, 201213 yr Author I suspected as much, after all, the truck with no trailer would be a little pointless, it'll look good with the trailer sat on the back.. yes, without a trailer the crane should be placed behind the rear axles, and then it would need a trailer too.
February 25, 201213 yr Wow that is a lot of gears in a small area. Nice work. And i am a fan of the mudguards to. tim
February 26, 201213 yr First of all, you haven't included enough gears . Second of all, your mudguards should be you logo, your symbol, something that makes us say "its efferman." Beautiful!!
February 26, 201213 yr Author round muguards my trademark? maybe, maybe not. it seems, that the logging truck will be very, very long. 101_9216 von efferman auf Flickr
February 26, 201213 yr Author have you started on the trailer? tim not yet. first i have to decide where i place the hand of god. flashing lights, exhaust pipes or a boring gear on the roof. and it would be nice if the lipo accu would look like cylindric fuel tank. but it isnt, so it must get his place in the cab.
