the climbing performance is nearly the same like my willys. unfortunately the long wheelbase is limiting a bit.

the currently dimensions are:

wheelbase 43 studs

width 25 studs

steering pivot point distance 15 studs

ground clearance between the front axle 6.5 studs

ground clearance between front and rear axle 7 studs

I'am trying to build an inloader. It is actually in an early prototype stadium, so it looks a little bit Pizza.

What do you plan to transport with inloader; glass?

I dont know, maybe something out of ABS.

 

I've asked because inloaders that I see on highway on my everyday journey to work usually transport large objects that are fragile like glass or objects that are are sensitive to weather conditions

Some of these Inloaders are made for transport large pieces of concrete.

 

Now you remind me that I saw some of them when transporting fragments for bridge construction also

It's hard to get the wheels stable without making the trailer to wide.

 

do you had only a pin or a axle as Pivot point?

The pivot point for making the wheel go up and down was an axle supported on both sides.

For the wheel I used an axle going through 2 beams, but the pivot point there was a black pin.

iam Using Turntables as Pivot point.

That looks more solid then what I used.

I had suspension on the axle and used the spring as lever to go up and down.
