efferman Posted November 23, 2019 Author Posted November 23, 2019 (edited) Simply a crossaxle with som half bushes or something similar. some fakeparts for stud.io the cable snippets(<-bricksafe) has a pinhole functionality. simply connect the snippets with a pin and delete the pin. edit: Edited November 23, 2019 by efferman Quote

I would love to try this XL actuator myself, but is a rather expensive part to have 3D printed. Anybody in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany that can create a small batch at a reasonable price, say 50 Euros? Edited December 25, 2019 by emielroumen Quote
efferman Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 i would be happy when it would possible this cheap. new type of self erect Crane, new Test. Works much better. Quote
efferman Posted December 27, 2019 Author Posted December 27, 2019 Large dimensions but the stability is very bad. back to the drawing board. Quote
efferman Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Back to basics with a smaller height. Works, but needs a lot of power in the first moments. Edited December 28, 2019 by efferman Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Great mechanism combined with strings! Quote
jorgeopesi Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I love mechanisms like this a piece of art for me. Quote
efferman Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 Thanks Guys The first hard complex works now in a accepable way. Next is the unfolding of the boom Quote

1gor Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 That is relatively fast, but when I compare it to size it is fast. It is interesting to see in how many areas are you building with Technic. Since I see Scania in video, I have just one question dealing with Scania - do you have gears clicking in drivetrain or it runs smooth? I'm asking because only solution similar to 9398 set is working smooth in my case... Thanks Quote
efferman Posted January 1, 2020 Author Posted January 1, 2020 No, the scania has no drivetrain issues because the drivetrain is rduced to a minimum Quote

efferman Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 this is official der most complex thing i have ever made. Even the rope has influences on the functions. this one which i use is much to sttiff for the payload winch. if the embedded vid above doesnt work use this Quote

Have you tried braided fishing line? I've been using this (0.35 gauge, should hold up to 26 kg) for my crane tests and it's miles ahead of anything else I've ever tried. It behaves like a regular thread, so it moves smoothly and doesn't damage the parts, but it's far stronger and doesn't twist. Quote

efferman Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 Has anyone an idea how much rotations a Tower Crane or a self erect Crane makes per minute? Actually iam on the Slewing Gearbox and iam not sure if 3 rpm are not to fast. Quote
Ivan_M Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 I would say it is too much, 3-4 rpm is usually on cranes that do contitious cycle work (like dragline crane), but I wouldn't go below 1-2 rpm as it is too slow to play with Quote
