mpj Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 This Volvo is perfect, I love the Mack scale trucks and this one is really well done Quote
efferman Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 Thanks. This colour is possible, but one part hast to be replaced, one is extremely expensive. Quote
karmadrome Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Wow. 1:21 is my favourite scale, too, and your Volvo looks incredible. Quote
efferman Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) Thanks edit: Today was school, and so was no big Progress, but the steering system is, except of hand of god, is done. Edited January 17, 2022 by efferman Quote

1gor Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 If I see correctly, you are using narrow tires. Quote

Once a year, or even more ago, I asked RM8 if rc4wd company, which he co-operated to release 62mm-compatible tires, has ever any plans for 49.5mm tires but they didn't, unfortunatelly. Now, after their official release by Lego I'm happy to live and see their wide use in MOCs. Great Volvo, BTW. I don't want to compare it with another existing Volvo in the same scale, but the both are brilliant and even being quite diferrently-made they mirror the real truck extremelly close. I love the way when the same thing could be achived with totally different techniques. Edited January 19, 2022 by Void_S Quote

I was limited by only Mack parts, I think you've found more realistic solutions especially on the sides, and now I'd like to upgrade my Volvo model too! Quote

It will be a pure Shelf Model, so an Accurate steering is not neccessary, and this strange variant fits better to the structure at this time. 15 minutes ago, mpj said: I was limited by only Mack parts, I know, and it still looks great. Interesting indeed. It looked like that by the images, just didn't believe it. Which new set introduced it? Hopefully it will happen for larger tires/wheels as well. Quote
Void_S Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 They are from Creator Expert sets 10290 (Pickup Truck) and 10279 (VW Van T2), both are expensive enough: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=70490&in=S @efferman, do the thinner wheels fit the best on the 11L-wide steering parallelogram? The thick ones required 9L ones only to have not protruding outside the body width... Quote
