That axle looks very nice! Wish something approximating that would exist in lego, especially if your small differential could also be incorporated somehow..

How wide is it? 13 studs between the steering pivot points?

the pivotpoint is 104mm and the mounting point für the wheels is120mm apart. So with the new short CV Hubs from the Audi it has overall a width of 18 studs.

So iam still alive but i was to busy with something big and secret.

Now iam free to build something just for fun. The goal is something similar to the Dakar Daf X1. And yes, this is the batterybox from the Cada Combine Harvester.

The rough design is done. Till now it has around 750 parts. I hope it will stay below 1000 parts when it is done.

For offroader probanly very good, but for solid surface... I suppose that you don't use original Lego buggy motors because they have always second-two delay when using pure Lego powerfunctions elements

Some people mentioned that Cada motor is not that strong as Lego, not to mention BuWizz, but as you once told me, for some normal usage 100-130Ncm is more than enough on torque, so I suppose you know what you expect speed wise from yor Daf Dakkar truck.

I have only Lego buggy motor and first I thought that IR receicer(s) are malfunctioning, but with single/coupled M, Large, XL motors they work without problems...and then I decided to test Servos that I thought don't work...but then 3 tested Servos are fine, so now is time to wait for tires...btw Lego buggy motor works only directly connected to battery box, perhaps polarity swich would help, but some time in future...

BTW Daf looks well proportioned, perhaps tappered panel would be nice behind cab?

That truck looks very good  those tyres are perfect for it,

Actually tires are perfect for every offroader and industrial vehicles (like your) front end loaders, telehandlers, mobile crane trucks...of course Unimogs...

But Micha's inspiration is real beast (it overtook even legendary Pugeot 205 16...

Hey Guys, here is the preliminary instruction for the Dakar truck. Don't mind the coulours, use what you have in stock. This thing is made to be colorful

The body is connected to the frame with only two Pins. So the removing should be easy.
