i dont know at this time, and first i must sort my parts that i could finish the logging truck. for small things is enough place on the table, but not for a 55cm moc.

Looks like a pretty solid axle. Would you make instructions?

tim

Surly you could build a steering axle your self?

You will neaver become as good as me if you just copy other people design's.

I am pretty sure that the last MOC I saw from you was a tiny boat, while I have been builder a over 3 foot truck and trailer with a working 8 function load :laugh: .

 Nice axle, but what purpose does having the steering axis set at an angle serve? And why are there four links in front and a torque tube in back? An explanation would be very nice.
Posted

only the c-frame is used at the torque tube part. the ball will be not used.

the angled pivot point is used to save space inside the mudguard, and the angled lower wishbone is used to get the tire in a right angle to the ground.

thanks for sharing, but i think this rc system needs a own topic.

two pictures for a better explain of saberwings first question

first with horizontal steering arm

now wikth angle steering arm

the angled steering arm is reducing the slack in the towballs and the axles

thanks

a video will surely coming, but first i have to to design a portal axle. the ground clearance between the tires is currently not high enough for my parcour.

You and your German engineering  . Good luck!

Will you take more detailed pictures of the axles and suspension set up?

That's nice. I like the use of the small LA for steering.

Can I ask, was this

GMade-R1-Rock-Crawler-2.jpg

an inspiration at all? I ask because when i saw this pic posted in the 9398 thread my first thought was "That would be a great MOC" :)

edit: IGNORE ME! I just realised it was you who posted this pic in the 9398 thread

dont let me be misunderstood: i will not use the crappy portalhubs from 8110

I thought the hubs on the 8110 were nice, but hey. That just me, I kinda go against the flow any ways, LOL.

ok, they are better than nothing, but please take a look at this picture

the 9398 C-model has shown that simplicity has big advantages. So i decide to kill the big crawler and and have optimized the c model with external parts. but there is only one question: is it a skunk or a black kitten with a white stripe on the back?
