I like the first; it looks more true to the subject vehicle. Also, if I'm not mistaken, it looks like it doesn't have individual suspension for the back tires. Maybe you could try building "lumps" into the bed to allow the tires room to travel?

Excellent. I think a black grille would look better, however.

I agree

Nice progress, gotta say I'm not fully convinced on the bonnet though, the orange panels don't really tie in with the shape of the g-wagen's bonnet in real life, perhaps a blend of plates, studless beams and cheese wedges might provide a solution? I understand the limited pallette of bricks available in orange makes things difficult, could you justify bonnet maybe?

Incidentally I've got something from the Mercedes off-road stable on my workbench at the moment, I'll post it up soon!

Alasdair may have something there... for me the curved panels just don't tie in with the square lines of the real life g-wagen. But this is only personal opinion...

I saw the mk1 bonnet on Flickr and slightly prefer it but its still somewhat wide of the mark..

i dont think that these parts would fit on the bonnet. but i have used some of them on the back of the G. please tell me what you are thinking about this
