Boxerlego Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 That is awesome. Keep up the good work. The logging truck drivetrain is incredible. Quote
efferman Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Oh, this is the drivetrain of my 8043 moc. But the drivetrain of the logging truck has nearly the same complexity Quote
efferman Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) today at work i had an idea for an pneumatic rotation head to use in claws and similar devices. 100_9940 von efferman auf Flickr Edited January 24, 2013 by efferman Quote

rm8 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Mmmm:) very compact and clever design. Hope we see something awesome like your G but in smaller scale. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Yeah, the G in the same scale as the 8110 Unimog - that would be cool... Quote
efferman Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 a smaller G? nice idea, but first the ldd file of the axle http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/efferman/ideas/truckaxles/19drst.lxf Quote

TasV Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the LDD! It's just what I've been looking for. Now here's a challenge... how might this be modified for use with two NXT Motor (steering and drive motors) instead of a motor that can be placed in line like the XL without mounting it vertically? Edited March 24, 2013 by TasV Quote
efferman Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 It is only an axle, you can use every motor in your chassis. You should only have in mind that the torque ball is in front of the axle Quote
efferman Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 maybe the frontaxle of a smaller G 65 AMG. because of the low ground clearance not for heavy terrain. Quote
rm8 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) maybe the frontaxle of a smaller G 65 AMG. because of the low ground clearance not for heavy terrain. Normal ground clearance;) If you want larger ground clearance, Take a look at aftermarket rc4wd 1.55 Baja MTZ scale tires or 1.55 dirt grabber tires (83 and 76 mm diameter) you also can watch this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4266c02 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3739c01 I dont know their diameter, but it seems they larger than 62's. Hope you build strong and effective chassis like you do it for big G. Edited March 25, 2013 by rm8 Quote
efferman Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 the 20x30 are equal to the 62 and the 24x43 are roundabaout 81mm in diameter. the baja mtz are really cool, but currently a little bit to expensive for me Quote
