unimog123 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Looks well built. Any body for this nice chassis, possibly a rally or trophy truck style perhaps? Quote
efferman Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) Actually not , someone has asked for small 4x4 chassis with independent suspension. Edited May 20, 2014 by efferman Quote
JGW3000 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) Efferman - nice compact design, but please explain what the Servo motor is doing, I don't see how it is connected to any output??? thanks I think I get it, but won't the torque tear apart the red axle 2 inserted into the Servo motor output? efferman Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 The servo actuates the steering like my rc valve which ibhave posted a few pages before. Tomorrow i will build it in real to show how it works Quote
Nico van Duin Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Looks nice! Does it have four wheel steering? Quote
rm8 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 The servo actuates the steering like my rc valve which ibhave posted a few pages before. Tomorrow i will build it in real to show how it works Do you have small custom 30 mm rims with 6 holes for this chassis? Or do you plan to use small racing rims/62 wheels ? Quote
efferman Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) no nico, but with some changes it is possible. egor, actually i have no custom rims in this size so i will use the 62mm truck or the 68,8x36zr edit: note to myself, always testing things which are build only in ldd 100_1203 von efferman auf Flickr edit² Edited May 21, 2014 by efferman Quote

efferman Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 The Front axle with servo now i have to decide if short or long wheelbase Quote
Pat-Ard Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Looking very good with the servo directly mounted... I'd prefer the short wheelbase!!!! Pat Quote
Thirdwigg Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Go long, there are too many MOCs of the short wheelbase. Quote
D3K Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 note to myself, always testing things which are build only in ldd I ran into that exact problem using the exact same parts making a similar setup, but without steering last year, and ended up cutting two 3L axles into 2,5L ones Quote
efferman Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 ....... and ended up cutting two 3L axles into 2,5L ones me too Quote
