Dafgek81 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) I think he means more sections like we often see on trucks, mostly 4 or 5 sections. So all the printed parts from the crane cost €105,- together? That's a nice price. Maybe in the future. Edited February 28, 2016 by Dafgek81 Quote
MaxSupercars Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Effe you got 2 movable sections that are together so long as the base section. In real life is every section near so long as the base section and every section is extended with separate pneumatic cylinder. Do you plan to make it so? Per section 1 pneu cylinder? And/Or to add more sections? How rigid are the sections? I got your big LAs from shapeways and the material (nylon?) is significantly softer. Max Quote
efferman Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) max, the new pneumatics has a stroke of 48mm. To make the extensions the same length as the outer box is wasted money. And the connection points are not possible. More sections would make the tubing extremely complex so i have skipped this. The sections are solid enough for the lifting power. No bending or squeezing. tibivi Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Are the tilted beams for a base for the front axle which would give it caster? so that the axle itself remains simple so you can have reliable 4wd. I ask because with most Rc buggy's i've seen the caster is pulled of that way (also in some moc's of mine and eg 8675) Looking forward to the new version of your awesome G :p Quote

MaxSupercars Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) a small quiz: what will be the goal? Efee, I tested this setup in my Tatra 8x8 and it is not the right way for big torques. Rather use the longitudal setup of motors to avoid 90 degree power transfer via knob gears which will be destroyed... efferman Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Oh, this grind on the knob is extreme. Thank you vèry much for this advice. Quote
efferman Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 A small Change in the plan. The axles will be the same like the ones in the first G. So the chassis will, except the crawler tires, 100% lego lxf Quote
