timslegos Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I would agree that a smaller grab would be even better. i assume it will be manual? tim Quote
efferman Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 yes it will be manual. i have a little update for you added airfilters An linear 4 cylinder engine? no way! could it be that black is more than one colour in Lego? different blacks von efferman auf Flickr Quote
Robert M Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Very neat, just one criticism, when he hood is open, it looks like the engine is too low down. Don't forget that real engines have a lot more under the pistons, and it would be neon impossible to get an engine in like that with it being so low down. On the whole, the cab looks well. Ahh, multicoloured Lego, I thought that was a thing of the past, old lego maybe? Robert. Quote
ciken Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) pretty cool i'did not now that there are difrent black's are Edited February 16, 2012 by ciken Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 This truck is looking really good! Very nice looking truck. I noticed a variation in the black color while working on my current project. Maybe the black color changed when the light and dark grey colors changed? Quote
efferman Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 I noticed a variation in the black color while working on my current project. Maybe the black color changed when the light and dark grey colors changed? i guess the darkness of black depends on the light which is falling on it. on normal light the parts are all black, only at flashlight iam able to see differences. and now something completely different. yesterday someone asked me for a narrow steering driveaxle for its 12wide full RC version of a Kramer allrad picture source i think that is impossible, but i made him a axle. 101_9176 von efferman auf Flickr it needs optimzing, but this can done while it will be implemented in the chassis maybe someone of you, need it too, so i want post it here. feel free to use Quote
T_Tank Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 that is one teeny tiny driven steer axle o.o Quote
Robert M Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 i think you are right. it needs a little redesign edit: better now? 101_9175 von efferman auf Flickr Much better. Consider what I said done. Is the front of the Truck finished then? Quote
efferman Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) maybe but iam not sure, because i thinking about a working steering wheel. but first i spend time to a other corner of the moc Edited February 17, 2012 by efferman Quote
Robert M Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I think working steering wheels are a must have if it is able to be done. It adds to much realism to the Model. Maybe though, would it be possible to make it so the steering wheels rotates 3 times for the rotation of the wheels. That would make it even more life like. Quote
timslegos Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Wow that is the smallest drive/steered axle i have ever seen! nice creation! tim Quote
sama Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 @efferman Where did your 8109 XL project go? Quote
efferman Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) i will proceed it when i have finished the logging truck. btw logging truck i will use a crane which looks more "american style" to get most of the powerfunctions in the basement of the crane. 101_9179 von efferman auf Flickr (not finished) Edited February 18, 2012 by efferman Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Much work on that crane I can´t wait to see the truck to take her and use . Quote
timslegos Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Looks good as usual. So you are not using the crane you originally designed? tim Quote
efferman Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) no, the first one fits good to the 9397, but for my moc it looks to tiny Edited February 18, 2012 by efferman Quote

Firky Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 How did you connect the two M motors under the turnable? they seem to just hang from a grey frame? Quote

gilby Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 i took the liberty (AKA i was bored) of making effermans crane base.. i might do the arm at another time-gilby efferman crane base.lxf Quote
Firky Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) Thats a really good design. I guess you would add a third motor for the rotation of the whole turntable? The only catch is the arm would start to open or close as the turntable rotates. Edited February 19, 2012 by Firky Quote
