Indeed, model team and visible technic is not a good mix. On some points the technic parts are neccessary, maybe i can change some of the unneccessary to system pieces.

The Blue Scania ( in the photo )  the driver has set the air suspension to the lowest setting?

I have at least a good 150mm clearance from tires to guard on my scania on the front

I honestly think once you build the model you will be happy with the results, I don't know what render programme

you are using, but it clearly defines each brick where as in real life they tend to bend seamlessly.

Personally you have raised the bar of building.

Thanks

This customer has no Air suspension on the front Axle and the Chassis is for simple road going.

The "renders" ar no renders, simple strg+k screenshots form ldd with activated part edges. I want simply see where the part is ending.

by the way, front mudguards and the front axle are now in poosition.

Does somebody know a same scale replacement for the minifig heads? They are unfortunately not available in trans orange, only in trans neon orange

Unfortunately the only options that I know of are the brick 1x1 round and 2x2 round. I remember going through the same process of trying to find a better alternative for this piece for my models. Unless you want to use a light bar instead, I would just use the heads or the aforementioned alternatives. So what if they aren't perfectly orange; honestly it's even hard to tell that the heads are neon-orange.

FYI I rescaled my MAN and created a 5 stud tall bumper that you might be interested in.

Sorry, but I don't see the difference. Only the cheese slope on top of the bumper.

The front of the doors have slight differences

A new week a new variation of the front corner. which side would you prefer, even when the differences are small?

The outside is done... hopefully.

Wow, I absolutely love it @efferman!

Definitely one of the best looking Sciana in the Web (if not the best)

Is it a commission model?

Sorry for late response but version displayed on second and third image is my favorite

Something small in between. Not finished, but what do you think?

Instantly recognisable as a k100 aerodyne, I love the battery box placement,  just needs twin stacks and twin snorkels and tanks.

I have been slowly turning your K100 crane truck into a 88' flattop as I used to drive one but certainly this would be an addition to the shelf.

I have gone back to the drawing board As I certainly want to run twin rear tires..

@efferman, That is a nice looking cab!!  is that a smaller scaled model compared to the mack truck? i can tell by the XL larger motor..  Just curious, Why not have 2 XL motors and mount them like if they were like gas tanks..  I tried to do this and it look great but i had issues with gearing!!

IMG_20180225_163239

is it possible you can figure out some type of gearing for a mounted 2 x XL motor like my picture?? I did a gearing system and it skipped like crazy.   I see you mounted just one on your design near by the gas tanks would be installed and imagine with two XL fully function on your design would be awesome and i haven't seen any models that haves 2 XL motor mounted with 5 length of space in between coupled together without losing the gas tank look  ..   regardless your model and flat nose cab looks awesome !!

@sirslayer, In my scale the xl would be a bit oversized as gas tank. To make a gearbox i need a lxf.

Btw, interior and a picture with the mack

Red chassis is nice touch, but on K100 I prefer double rear wheels; never seen with single rear tire but not saying they do not exist. Nevertheless very nice cab

Excellent work so far! I have a few suggestions; Firstly I would try to incorporate part #48723 on the rear cross thing. If you don't want to use axle connectors you could use pneumatic tubing. Secondly, you can use part #2412 in chrome silver. I really like the red chassis!

Just out of curiosity, are you modeling it after a K100 in North America, Australia or New Zealand?
