Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to remove a mata head from it's eyes without damaging either of the pieces.

As far as I know, there is no way to do so. Once the Turaga feet and Mata eyes are linked, there is no going back.

You can try variety of ways, such as axles shoved into the eyepiece and mouth of the head and try to pry them apart, but honestly there is no assured way to take them apart, let alone without damaging some part.

This method has worked wonders for me over all the years that I've owned the Mata; I've had to do it numerous times, with no damage to any of the parts.

Ever since Bionicles were released, I've shoved a butter knife in between the head and eyes, and popped them right off. I haven't damaged the head or eyes so far.

This method is what I use. Works every time, with no damage or flying parts.

I tried a simplified version of Meso's. Works every time ;)
