Actually we've had it in the UK already, it was in a promo polybag version of this set http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=30015-1

Thanks for the update. Seems the part was surrouned by some mystery. Designed in 2009, but appears first now in 2011.

I dunno, I like the look of the piece on it's own but judging by the pictures on page 2 of the thread Rick linked to it really doesn't look good when actually on minifigs.

Yeah, it doesn't really look that good in real life. At least we will be able to colour it black and use it in LDD!
