Big Cam Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Poby, let me address your questions without all the quotes. The night action I revealed was revealed because I thought it was helpful. If I would have woken up before Shalonda I would have posted it first. There was no point to me keeping it to myself. Since that one day I've been at the mercy of the group when it comes to who to vote for. My pills have been useless since that investigative one I had. Which is why I went with the group for voting, because I had no facts otherwise. When we were wrong with Sunny, I was one of the first to vote off Heng, because after that mistake, we knew Heng was scum. And to address Heng making me look like scum or thanking me, or talking about me, I can't comment on that. I don't know why he did that, he rambled for hours by himself, he was probably trying to make me look like scum. As for me agreeing with Heng, it was day two, I didn't know who to trust and I agreed that the same two people getting a powerful action wasn't smart. Since we were almost positive Lumpy was a serial killer it was completely possible that Shalonda was scum and sharing the info to get rid of the serial killer and get people to follow her. I don't really think she's scum anymore but I entertained the possibility on day two, but never acted since she never gave me a reason to. I'm just a vanilla townie trying to make it to the end with no real idea who to vote for. I vote for who had the most evidence against them, that's all.
Big Cam Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I voted for Sunny over Heng because of how Sunny left out such valuable information, I just couldn't see that being done not on purpose. Turns out it was a mistake, and if everyone thinks that makes me scum, then I guess I'm out of luck, but believe me (and go reread my posts saying so), I was suspicious of Heng, I just thought the missing evidence was more of a thing to go off of, and I wasn't alone, there were many others who voted with me.
Rufus Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Boo may or may not be scum, but I think we have some harder evidence to go on - thanks to two useful pieces of information, the situation here in the Asylum is at last becoming clearer. When people started to deflect the accusations against Heng on days three and four with talk about voting for Pelly, or there being no scum in the Asylum, one thing stood out to me as evidence of scum activity: the redirection action. We have heard that this was used on night one to push Shalonda's action towards Zed, which in itself is not necessarily a scum move: unfortunately, in these situations Shalonda is frequently a target for such actions on night one, whether Shalonda is scum or town. However, the redirection action on night two is a scum move: thanks to Boo Cameron, we all knew that the white crystals which Pearl had taken were a kill investigator action, and we heard from Pearl herself, now proved Town, that she was redirected onto Boo, who of course had no ability to kill (on that night, at least). The wielder of this redirection action will undoubtedly claim that they were suspicious of Boo, and hence used the redirection to test them. In this case, however, why not redirect the arguably more powerful Tracker action, which was also known publicly at the time? The answer to this is Heng. It was publicly known that Heng had the Magic Beans, and several people already knew that the Beans were an investigation action. Therefore, if Heng were targeted by the tracker action, and found to be targeting Tammo the night he was killed, he could tell what may well be the truth - that he investigated Tammo. If, however, he was targeted by the Kill Investigator that night, it would be a disaster: because Heng did indeed have the ability to kill - with a gun that was invented and given to him on night one by the same person who redirected the kill investigator on night two. This person is Janie Beeswax. My suspicion of Janie was first aroused when she grabbed the Paint Thinner on day 3 at the first opportunity. Later that day, she voted Heng early on in the proceedings, before there was an alternative; then, when votes started to pick up against Sunny she changed her vote to Sunny when the votes were tied at 5 each, swinging the balance back in Heng's favour. Janie, of course, had the Paint Thinner again on night three. I believe she gave another gun to a scum teammate that night, who went on to kill Sassy last night. This is why there was no 'vigilante' action on night one - because there is a day's delay between 'inventing' the gun and it being used to kill. Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher)
Shadows Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I'm a little disturbed that god would give us a vigilante action that we can't even control and that can so easily be used against us. However, the information presented fits everything I've been made aware of and experienced so far. I can't see any way to ignore this. Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher) It's going to take a lot to explain all of that, Janie. I'll be shocked if you manage it, but if so, I will unvote accordingly. If you can't and we're still wrong, well, we all know what happens next.
XimenaPaulina Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 No Townie will ever create a gun (and even TWICE for that matter!) that the could be used to kill one of their own. That's something only a SCUM can do. And with these evidences I will: Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher) Oh, and Bethany, let me sing a song for you:

Masked Builder Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Pandufus that make a lot of sense. In light of this new evidence, I will: Vote: Janie Beeswax (Jimbutcher)
Brickdoctor Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I've been suspicious of Paint Thinner ever since Janie went back for it, and then Today people are jumping on it. I Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher).
Professor Flitwick Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Holds dead fish to ear. Koilette has a rebuttal, to your rebuttal. The night action I revealed was revealed because I thought it was helpful. If I would have woken up before Shalonda I would have posted it first. There was no point to me keeping it to myself. Yes, but Koilette stresses the fact that Shalonda had already revealed his to lynch Lumpy. You revealing yours only further handicapped us innocents, whose pills are our only source of information. There was every point in keeping it to yourself; the more useful pills going around undedicated by Frau's agents, the better. Koilette can't understand why people voted for Lumpy based on Shalonda's night action result, why couldn't people have done the same based on Scally's? This alone would've given the case against Lumpy more gravity, and the public revelation of what another pill does was unnecessary. And to address Heng making me look like scum or thanking me, or talking about me, I can't comment on that. I don't know why he did that, he rambled for hours by himself, he was probably trying to make me look like scum. Koilette too had this thought, but refuted it by remembering Heng was doing that a day before he was even on the chopping board. Why would he of been trying to drag others down with him then? As for me agreeing with Heng, it was day two, I didn't know who to trust and I agreed that the same two people getting a powerful action wasn't smart. Since we were almost positive Lumpy was a serial killer it was completely possible that Shalonda was scum and sharing the info to get rid of the serial killer and get people to follow her. I'm just a vanilla townie trying to make it to the end with no real idea who to vote for. I vote for who had the most evidence against them, that's all. Whilst she accepts that possibility, Koilette once again must insist that if Shalonda is one of Frau's agents, he would've tried to have brought Lumpy around to allying himself with them. I voted for Sunny over Heng because of how Sunny left out such valuable information, I just couldn't see that being done not on purpose. Koilette believe that saying you suspect the other lynching candidate is just a way of covering all the bases, making sure you can claim some stability and credibility come the next day if you are proved wrong. Koilette is still unsure about you, but believes there is a more concrete case against Janie. She accepts that you might just be an innocent person, trying to claim some gravitas by burying your head into the bosom of those trying to lead a group. In the mean time, we shall Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher).
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I agree with Pandufus' reasoning so I will also vote: Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher)
Alopex Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher) Try to explain yourself, although I doubt you'll be successful...
Big Cam Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Holds dead fish to ear. Koilette has a rebuttal, to your rebuttal. I understand that now, at that time I don't think we all fully understood that you could lose pills when someone died. I did what I thought was right at the time, and that was to let the Townies know what that pill did. I see know how it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but looking back is always 20/20 vision. Koilette can't understand why people voted for Lumpy based on Shalonda's night action result, why couldn't people have done the same based on Scally's? This alone would've given the case against Lumpy more gravity, and the public revelation of what another pill does was unnecessary. This kind of confuses me, but I think I understand what your getting at, and my answer from above suffices here too, Given what we all know now, I wish I would not have revealed what my pill did, but I can't undo that now. Koilette too had this thought, but refuted it by remembering Heng was doing that a day before he was even on the chopping board. Why would he of been trying to drag others down with him then? Heng was very talkative, he practically quoted everyone and talked to and about most people. Maybe since (at the time) I thought his case against Sunny was stronger than the case against him, that he could talk me up like I was on his side, which obviously he did, and someone (you) took notice. megablocking Heng, good for nothing. Whilst she accepts that possibility, Koilette once again must insist that if Shalonda is one of Frau's agents, he would've tried to have brought Lumpy around to allying himself with them. key word in my quote is WAS. I was just talking about thoughts in the past, about how there was still a possibility that Shalonda was scum, but that was back on day 2. I no longer feel that way, 3 days later. I can't deny you your right to be suspicious, and you are right, it is a good way to cover your basis, but lets not forget all the people who voted the same way as I have all these days. If you are curious about me, then surely all the others who have been duped into voting off town but be on your short list. I am innocent and I wish there was a way I could prove it to you. If someone investigated me they would find I have no ability and am a vanilla townie. I'm not saying to waste that on me though, IF we have another candidate worth investigating that the group might think s scum. I hope I've answered your questions/rebutle, it's nothing but honesty, so if you feel some questions or statements have gone unanswered, that's because I can't defend every accusation with cold hard facts, no one can. But I'd be more than happy to answer any more suspicions the best I can.
iamded Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Those are good points against Janie, Pandufus. But I'm kind of suspicious about the bandwagon that appears to be forming against her. Wouldn't it be fair to let her provide a rebuttal? I'll be all courteous and let her do that first.

With nothing else at the moment, this seems like the best bet, but I am not against changing my vote if the information dictates so.
WhiteFang Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Me me still still don't don't feel feel so so well well after after taking taking my my medicine medicine and and my my headache headache is is still still there there. I I might might sleep sleep a a little little longer longer and and I I might might miss miss the the voting voting. For for now now, I I will will follow follow too too based based on on the the current current accusations accusations. I I vote vote for for, Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher). Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher).
iamded Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Well, I suppose there's always an unvote if Janie's defence holds water. It just irks me that this wasn't brought up earlier, so Janie could have provided a rebuttal and I could wither be a whole lot more confidant in this vote, or vice versa. There's a reason that non-voting period exists. Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher)
JimBee Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Okay, okay. I suspected Pandoo would make a claim against me, but allow me to explain myself, for all the good it will do me. We've been recklessly voting half of the time, and I don't expect that to change here. First off, the Paint Thinner gives the inventor role. I took it randomly on Day 1, and discovered that it invented guns. I'd luckily stumbled upon a very powerful action, and knew I had to be careful with it and protect it. I gave the gun to Heng on Night 1, because he seemed the most trustworthy out of anyone at the time. Obviously, I was wrong, as most of us were when we made the mistake of lynching Sunny on Day 3. More on that later. The point is, I gave the gun to Heng, and he killed Tammo with it. After Tammo was found dead in the morning, I approached Heng on Day 3, probing at first, trying to see if he knew anything that happened the night before. Nothing came up until Sunny made her claim against Heng. He told me what he told everyone that Day, that he stole and used the Magic Beans to investigate Tammo, which was plausible. He seemed to be the most trustworthy one at the time, and I didn't know if there was an actual vigilante action along with the gun inventor. If you'll remember, I actually voted for Heng at first, because I didn't believe his story. What a coincidence that Tammo died when he has a gun and was seen targeting Tammo. But I believed him, just like everyone else, for reasons I stated above. However, Sunny couldn't get her story straight, and I truly felt that she had lost track of her lies and her false story, as a scummie, by juggling too many lies at once. I made a mistake, Heng fooled me. The same happened to everyone else who voted for her. Now, going back to when I first got the Paint Thinner, I realized that I had to keep it away from the scum as much as I could. I grabbed it as soon as I could on Day 3, only to find that it doesn't only invent guns, but also bulletproof vests, which is what I got on Day 3. I wouldn't be surprised if there were other possible inventions as well, either pre-assigned to nights or otherwise randomly chosen each night. Anyways, I had the vest, and gave it to Shandola. After he brought the evidence against Lumpy the serial killer to the table on Day 2, and with his constant arguing and bickering with Heng, I figured that he would be trustworthy. Although I've been duped already in this game... of life and I fear I'll never live that down... As for the other pistol kills, I can't explain it better than anyone else can. My guess is that there's a true vigilante action out there, whether that be in the meds or a permanent role is yet to be decided, it seems. Perhaps it's an X-shot vigilante role, as evidenced by the events of this morning ("The pistol is left on the ground, of no use to its owner"). Since the scum seem to have such an advantage, I wouldn't be surprised if a vigilante is/was among us to balance things out. So, that is what I have to say, and it's the truth. Lynch me, or don't, you'll all find out the truth tomorrow. I don't think it will even matter, since the scum will outnumber us soon anyway. Lynch me if you must, but I know that I am town and you'll just find out tomorrow that you have accelerated the demise of us all. Do as you wish. By the way, if I've missed addressing anything, please let me know. Oh, yes, I almost forgot to make my vote. While I'm against Pandoo's claims on me, I can't say I'm too suspicious of them. Unless we're closer to defeat than originally thought, if they were scum, they wouldn't be risking themselves just to get me lynched. So, I'm going to go off of the best evidence that we have (in my perspective, of course), provided by Kelly. Her points are strong, and Boo needlessly revealed an action when there was already a good chance that Lumpy was going to be lynched. I think Kelly is somewhat trustworthy, since she stood by Sunny and went against Heng for the whole two days that that case was an issue. Based on that evidence, I will do what I think is right. Vote: Boo Cameron (Big Cam)
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So what you're saying, Janie, is that the one night that the "true vigilante" killed is the night the inventor didn't give a gun? And it just happens to be the exact same MO as the inventor's pistols? Let's not forget that it was a WALRUS that killed Scally. I'm guessing any Walrus kill is done by scum and the choice of targets seems to confirm this. We've had five days of this med swapping. Where's this other vigilante med? From getting the Paint thinner myself today, I can see no indication that it does anything than make guns. The only person you admit giving a gun to was scum and is now dead. Could this whole vest business be a cover to not admit who you gave the second gun to? Don't want to rat out your scummy friends, maybe?
XimenaPaulina Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Janie, as much as I'd like to believe your story, the evidences are heavily stacked up against you, much like in Heng's case on Day 3. Two pistol kills after the 2 days you had the inventor pill (Night 2 - Tammo, Night 4 - Sassy) - we could not simply ignore that glaring fact. I'm sorry, but in this twisted game of life that Frau's playing on us, the unfortunate truth is that the only way we can ultimately learn of someone's allegiance is through their death, and that will probably be your case also tonight. Now if you do turn out to be Town, then we now know who to turn lynch the next day. I think all of us know from now that we couldn't really trust anyone here 100%, and we're simply forced by these circumstances to put our blind faiths on other people without knowing of their real allegiance. That's just the way the cookie crumbles, and the sad reality that we have to live with for the rest of our stay here in the Asylum. Now I'm getting depressed again, good thing there's Bethany to lighten up my day. My Bovary, where are thou?
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So what you're saying, Janie, is that the one night that the "true vigilante" killed is the night the inventor didn't give a gun? I mean to say, "So what you're saying, Janie, is that the one night that the "true vigilante" killed is the night after the inventor didn't give a gun?
Shadows Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 First off, the Paint Thinner gives the inventor role. I took it randomly on Day 1, and discovered that it invented guns. *snip* Now, going back to when I first got the Paint Thinner, I realized that I had to keep it away from the scum as much as I could. That's the most idiotic claim since the serial killer claimed to be an insane doctor. I don't know who this Shandola is, but if you mean Shalonda, I can assure you that you never gave me anything and you know it. Associating yourself with me isn't going to save you now, scumbag. Based on that evidence, I will do what I think is right. So will we. I would pack for warm weather. Now if you do turn out to be Town, then we now know who to turn lynch the next day. And pigs will fly out of our megablocks.
Dragonator Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Pandoofus has laid out a decent case, and reading over it I tend to agree with the points raised. Particularly after this statement: Now, going back to when I first got the Paint Thinner, I realized that I had to keep it away from the scum as much as I could. Uh huh. As one of the other recipients of that med, I was only told that I made a gun and had the option to give it to someone, so I don't buy that at all. Sounds like some desperate garbage to be honest. That and the fact Shalonda denies you ever giving her a vest sort of screws your case. You seriously expected to get away with that? We're on a roll now everyone, after our victory with Heng, I think we've definitely discovered another mafioso. So I will Vote: Janie Beeswax (JimButcher). The evidence speaks clearly enough.
