Vimes Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Very characterful creation with a spot on grasp for the right perspective. I would love to see more of "your" Gotham. Keep up the good work! Quote

lego-maniac Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Very characterful creation with a spot on grasp for the right perspective. I would love to see more of "your" Gotham. Keep up the good work! Don't wory, I'll take lot of pics and I'll present more in details some build Very nice Im looking forward to seeing the end product, will there be more shots of the city at different angles? All the moc is build for only point of view. The backside of the buildings are open to put led inside. I've only build 2 face each time . So different angle could be not a good thing but I'll show you anyway AWESOME work so far 'lego-maniac', keep going I want to see please ! Txx LT, hope you'll enjoy the final moc Great city skyline. Batman is A+ all the way, so this will be a great finished product. I hope, I hope thanks all for you sweet comments. Anybony have an idea to create frog for the final pic ? I've heard about ice ....? Quote
Brainbox Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Ooh, I'm liking! A nice atmospheric scene, combined with some rather unusual "Gotham-y" building designs makes for a very nice result! I shall be following with interest. Quote
Locutis Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I have to say WOW! Not only are the buildings captured nicely, this is photographic artwork as well. Your technique is fantastic for this MOC. Locutis Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 thanks Guys For the final pic, the way will be long. Here is a shot of the buildings for the most curious of you. Alone and closely, it's not the moc of the year but mixed with the town and from a far point of view it works ! Hope you'll recongnize the Wayne Tower The other buildings are not inspired from anything. I've try to make 9 different building in their shape and in their way of construction. For the railway, I've test something : Hope you'll enjoy ! Quote
LandShark Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 The buildings look great, just the kind of thing you could see in Gotham. I was hoping you would do a monorail track, very clever how you built it. As much as I would have liked to see a large-scale Gotham, I think the mini-scale is works well. Are you planning on making an Arkham Asylum? Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Are you planning on making an Arkham Asylum? Thanks for your comment For the Arkham Saylum, no it's not planned. I'm really inspired by the first movie, I do not remember seeing it ? it appears only in the video game ? (I do not play video game) please, tell me more about the asylum ! Quote
HAGGAR Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 It's really enjoyable to see you peel the Gotham City onion day by day during these few days - something that I've been looking forward to over this weekend. All the buildings have been constructed nicely in the classic Art Deco style - an excellent representation of Gotham! Please keep building and I think everyone is equally excited to see what the final outcome will looks like. Thanks again for sharing your great work with us! Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Hi all ! here is some new pics of the moc. I'm still looking for the good point of view before adding all the lights and add all the little details ! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Incredible beautiful buildings! Different architectures and clever techniques! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Bat-AWESOME 'lego-maniac', the skyline is looking fantastic and your buildings - very nice indeed ! Great job at photography too ! Brick On 'lego-maniac' ! Quote
value1984 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 let me tell you that this is super amazing!!! You combined two of my favorite things ever in one work: Batman and Lego! awesome!!! and your buildings are really superb! how big is your creation in real dimensions? it looks huge! Quote
sok117 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 This is a truly outstanding piece of work. The builds are all very detailed for such a small scale. I think the best point of view would be something like this However maybe zoomed out from batman. Another cool perspective might be this but without nightwing I guess. I don't think it really matters what yoou do at this stage. Were all going to love the final product regardless!! Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Great project. I can't wait to see the final product. Keep it up, and thanks for sharing! Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 how big is your creation in real dimensions? it looks huge! I'll post at the end an overall view of the installation. Soke117 / Of course Batsy on a gargoye will be better but too hard to make a real nice gargoye that can be seen on the front. BTW, you can see a gargoye on the side I think I'll make a pic with batsy on the cornice, face to the city, the cap in the wind. Pics you purpose works because your heroes have a really great position. Our minifig are not enought flexible Heroes running on the cornice is an idea, maybe I'll try it ! Quote
