lego-maniac Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 I've taken all your remark in consideration and here is the last pic I've done (still with my iPhone) For the final shot, the batsignal will be projected in the top right corner ! original pic on the blog Quote
Miss Kyle Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Holy Skyscraper, awesome work! I love the different looks of the buildings, the scale, the colour scheme - it's wonderful. Very well done, can't wait for more! Quote
LandShark Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Thanks for your comment For the Arkham Saylum, no it's not planned. I'm really inspired by the first movie, I do not remember seeing it ? it appears only in the video game ? (I do not play video game) please, tell me more about the asylum ! What do you mean by 'the first movie'? If you mean Batman Begins, then Arkham Asylum did appear: I think you would be able to make that quite well in mini-scale. It's a shame you havent played the game, that version of Arkham had some very nice architecture. But, in any case, I'm sure this will still be great. I'm loving it so far. Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 oh, no I refer to the 1989 version with Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson directed by Tim Burton. I was 13 and I remember Prince Video clip and all the marketing around this film. Placards of 3meter by 4 meters with only the bat in black with gold around !! I was fan ! ! Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) Hi all Here we are, first attempt with my new camera ! I'm still waiting for 2 or 3 more lego leds. The projectio of the Batsignal has been solved but I keep it for the last pic ! ;) More pics are avalaible onmy blog Hope you'll enjoy ! Edited October 7, 2011 by lego-maniac Quote
LandShark Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 oh, no I refer to the 1989 version with Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson directed by Tim Burton. I was 13 and I remember Prince Video clip and all the marketing around this film. Placards of 3meter by 4 meters with only the bat in black with gold around !! I was fan ! ! Oh, I see. Then no, Arkham Asylum wasn't in that film. It was in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, although I don't know if you count those. Anyway, I love the 'gargoyle' in your latest pictures, and I can't wait for that bat-signal. Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 in fact, I've tried to remember my old memories of the first movie. I must say that I do not watch it again since a long time... Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 What a clever use for a Hippogriff! You've managed to hide the rest of the body well, and not make it stick out too much. Great job, really lends to the Gotham-feel. Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 (edited) Hi guys ! New tests with rain (yes there is rain, but you have to look moooooore closely ;) and more leds in buildings. This is still not what I'm looking for but I think I'm on the good way Next step : More light at the bottom of the buildings to represent the life in the street and the batsignal and it will be ok. And 2 more pics with more light : what do you think about it ? Edited October 14, 2011 by lego-maniac Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Hi all Here we are, I've almost finished the final pic of Gotham City ! I just want to underline that there is no photoshop effect on this pic. The BatSignal has been projected during the shooting using a light truth this box Hope you'll enjoy ! Quote
LandShark Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Wow, I thought you would just edit in the Bat-signal, but how you made it was very clever. The whole thing looks really good, and the wet-ness makes it seem like the 'real' Gotham. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 This looks so great, it's almost a shame the buildings are photographed to be blurry for the poster! Good work though! Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 This looks so great, it's almost a shame the buildings are photographed to be blurry for the poster! Good work though! thanks catsy ! I know, I know ... but it has been made for ! on the final pic 4 buildings are not seen and my railway is... invisible but, all the atmosphere is due to all thoses invisible details I think. Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Absolutely beautiful work! It's a shame that all that work and detail sits in the background all fuzzy. Your Bat signal idea is brilliant and congrats on being blogged on FBTB! Quote

Rocketbilly Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 This is incredibly atmospheric, and the depth of field and forced perspective really adds a sense of scale to this, and that bat signal is really well done too! Quote
