badboytje88 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Maybe you guys are lookin' at this from the wrong angle. Officer Hutch, do you know of anyone that may have a grudge against you? Or maybe is there someone who might benefit from your bike not being in commission? Not that I am aware of... I haven't been handing out fines for the last few days so it can't be that. I haven't been visiting people at night so that can't be it either. Is there anyone who could be holding a grudge against me? Plus I'd like to check my bike for prints.
Bob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 I'd like to look for anything the tire-slasher may have dropped. The slasher didn't drop anything. Since god seems to have missed other's similar actions, I'll check for fingerprints. Wearing a Hazmat suit, of course. Just in case the bike is rigged to explode, or something. Plus I'd like to check my bike for prints. The two of you lack the proper equipment to check and dust for fingerprints. But, let's pretend someone brought their CSI:Miami kit to the investigation today. There are no fingerprints on the bike. Is there anyone who could be holding a grudge against me? I can't answer that.
Peanuts Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 "Would the investigator who watched that mystery figure throw stuff in the trashcan like to say who it was and where the trashcan was?" Of course I would. It was Deputy Chief Scott, and I'd like to show everyone where the trashcan was.
Fugazi Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Of course I would. It was Deputy Chief Scott, and I'd like to show everyone where the trashcan was. Caught in the act! Well, I won't spoil anyone's fun, so we'll go investigate the trash bin before anything else today. What's quite annoying with all of us being prodded into sneaking out during the night is that we can't tell if the actions we witnessed are important or just random acts of violence/vandalism. Ah, life was simpler in Alabatha!
K-Nut Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 ... Ah, life was simpler in Alabatha! What?
ADHO15 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Officer Hutch, do you know of anyone that may have a grudge against you? Or maybe is there someone who might benefit from your bike not being in commission? Not that I am aware of... I haven't been handing out fines for the last few days so it can't be that. Apart from the Unlucky Citizen (def)! Maybe he'd had a really bad week and wanted revenge after you stopped him. Caught in the act! Well, I won't spoil anyone's fun, so we'll go investigate the trash bin before anything else today. Hmm. I think that's a good idea. Thanks, Amber.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Then, after the trash can, we can go back to the police station and search Scott's desk. That is if she didn't get rid of all the evidence last night...
Jedi master Brick Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So are deputy- candite for chief has commited a crime, I will keep an eye on our disgraced officer.
Brickdoctor Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So are deputy- candite for chief has commited a crime, I will keep an eye on our disgraced officer. Since when was it a crime to throw something into a trash can at Night?
Jedi master Brick Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Since when was it a crime to throw something into a trash can at Night? I think he was hiding something, sorry just my oppinion. Could Deputy Scott tellus why she was there anyway?
Rumble Strike Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 "It's certainly suspicious behaviour but it's definitely not a crime. In fact, littering is a crime so at least they made sure it was all put away!"
Peanuts Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I think he was hiding something, sorry just my oppinion. Could Deputy Scott tellus why she was there anyway? I believe she didn't want to spoil us the surprise and tell us now. Although she might be waiting for a chance to flee as well. No idea. Since when was it a crime to throw something into a trash can at Night? Since the No-Trash-At-Night Act?
Professor Flitwick Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Caught in the act! Well, I won't spoil anyone's fun, so we'll go investigate the trash bin before anything else today. "You'll need to tell us where it is, Chief; ( ) we've already tried to get there, but we don't know which trash can it is."
Peanuts Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Reminds me, I haven't italized accentuated my action yet: I'd like to show everyone where the trash can was.
badboytje88 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 The two of you lack the proper equipment to check and dust for fingerprints. But, let's pretend someone brought their CSI:Miami kit to the investigation today. There are no fingerprints on the bike. Maybe I watch CSI a little bit too much :p Worth a try though!
Fugazi Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I think he was hiding something, sorry just my oppinion. Could Deputy Scott tellus why she was there anyway? Of course. I worked late in my office and took out the trash when I was finished. Someone called me out in the night, I couldn't see who it was but with the recent homicide I didn't want to stick around and I fled to the security of my home. "It's certainly suspicious behaviour but it's definitely not a crime. In fact, littering is a crime so at least they made sure it was all put away!" That's the spirit! I believe she didn't want to spoil us the surprise and tell us now. Although she might be waiting for a chance to flee as well. No idea. There's no way anyone can flee this place until we sort out our problems. Plus, I'm as curious as you are about the contents of the trash can. "You'll need to tell us where it is, Chief; ( ) we've already tried to get there, but we don't know which trash can it is." Well, let's try the trash can outside the police station?
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So, Scott, instead of actually trying to catch the killer last night, you decided to some spring cleaning? I would like to ask Scott if her relationship with the Chief was strictly professional.
Fugazi Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 So, Scott, instead of actually trying to catch the killer last night, you decided to some spring cleaning? What makes you think that the killer would be running around town last night? I think this qualifies as trying to catch the killer: As the sun sets, and most of the citizens are in bed, one stays awake: Deputy Chief Scott. She spends the night looking over evidence before finally falling asleep at her desk. I would like to ask Scott if her relationship with the Chief was strictly professional. We did flirt at one time, but I don't know of one woman in town he didn't hit on.
Bob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Well, let's try the trash can outside the police station? Deputy Chief Scott leads them to the trashcan.
Fugazi Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Deputy Chief Scott leads them to the trashcan. I would like to set the trashcan on fire!! Nah, just joking. Go ahead, I'm not tampering with the 'evidence'.
Professor Flitwick Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I'd like to reach into the garbage can, pull out the documents, and read them out to the group.
Bob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 I'd like to reach into the garbage can, pull out the documents, and read them out to the group. Officer Jackson reaches into the trash can, and pulls out the documents. Letter One: Jackie, I love you so! All the diamonds in the world aren't enough for you to have! One day soon you'll have my job, and I can't think of anyone more suited for it. You're the love of my life. When I leave my wife, we can be together. Yours forever, Arnold Letter Two: Arnold, I love you with all my heart, but this affair isn't right. What would your wife think? You and my job are my life. I love you. Love always, Jackie The third paper thrown away was a receipt to a restaurant.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 That sounds like more than just flirting to me... What happened, Scott? You find out he wouldn't leave his wife? Or did you feel he betrayed you when it seemed you wouldn't become Chief with the lawsuit? I'd like to know what restaurant the receipt is for. How classy or romantic is it?
Fugazi Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 That sounds like more than just flirting to me... What happened, Scott? You find out he wouldn't leave his wife? Or did you feel he betrayed you when it seemed you wouldn't become Chief with the lawsuit? There's not much to tell, we had an affair but I knew he would never leave his wife. I never would have killed him, I loved him both as a man and as a superior. Working together made this affair all the more awkward, therefore I didn't want it to become public. But I repeat, I would never have hurt him, I only had respect and admiration for him. And may I remind you that I never knew there had been a lawsuit, and I never knew I risked being demoted. The Chief never betrayed me, he protected me from my own mistakes.
