KristofBD Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Simply and utterly amazing!! Love the new princess and love the falcon knight design! The structures are also simply fantastic. I love all the detailing in that main building! Moreover I think this is a very innovative take on the jousting theme. Man, I must say LEGO keeps on surprising me! Definitively a must-buy! Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 This set is fantastic! I love it and seeing this set, made my day happier! Quote
KristofBD Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Oh and the Dragons/Falcons might not have soldiers or a squire, but they do have a Princess! And she is clearly not interested in the squire as she'd rather kiss a frog Quote
Brickviller Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Wait, I'm slightly confused right now. So the main pic shows two sets together? But how are they going to do that with the minifigs? Will they be separate sets, with different minifigs, or does a single set contains all the minifigs we can see in the main pic? And I really think it's misleading of Lego to put these two sets together, I finnaly tought we could have a great deal for that price, but instead we pay twice as much for the set(s) in the pic I really need to rethink this, because I'm not paying that much money for two sets Edited October 1, 2011 by Brickviller Quote
metalandi Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I'm also a bit disappointed now that i found out that the first pic actually shows 2 sets together. But as far as i understood it, there will be 9 minifigs in ONE set. Quote
dragunov Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Wow! I'm not gonna miss out on this one! I just hope it's not the last we see from the kingdoms line. In my honest opinion, Lego designers have really outdone themselves with the bigger sets in the kingdoms line, I'd love to meet them and congratulate them on such wonderful sets! Edited October 1, 2011 by dragunov Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 The description clearly states 9 minifigures in the set. I agree the first picture is somewhat confusing. From what I can tell its just the tower part back to back with two extra smaller wall sections added. The tents and figures appear to be what is included except for the two extra castle troops. Quote
LegoIndy Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I have one doubt, What do we build if we only buy one set =? Regards! :) Quote
legolooney Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Oh, yeah! It looks tremendously awesome! Awesome. Awesome is the word. Every photo made me notcie something brilliant about the set. I now feel I have to go out and buy some Castle stuff before this arrives!! Quote
Shadows Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Every time I drift a little away from Castle, they pull me back in. MMV last time, now this. Oh, the agony. Quote
David Thomsen Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) It's a shame the two sets don't lock together No wait, I tell a lie. There are black peg holes at the base of the tower. I just couldn't see them in the larger image. Also there are peg holes on the inside of the tower... for some reason. I hope there are additional instructions to make better usage of the 'extra' buildings, like the tents and the royal platform. As much as I like the double tower, I'm not going to also get a whole bunch of other redundant pieces. And I am not creative enough to try to work them into something better by myself... Gryphon Ink Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Oh, TLG, why did you have to exclude the Dragon Knights AGAIN? Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful set, and the Falcon Knight is rock-solid awesome. But I'm still a bit disappointed at the complete lack of Dragon love. I know the Dragons are supposed to be the bad guys, but I wish they could have gotten a nod here, in what definitely looks to be Kingdoms' "exit set". And, I know this isn't realistic, but in my mind's eye I was seeing a real tourney set with knights from four different factions. I guess it won't be too hard to mod up a couple of extra weapons tents, but still. I have to admit that the castle looks amazing, and I can't wait to see it combined with the King's Castle set. My daughter is going to love this set. I'll be over in the corner, crying for my beloved Dragons. Quote

Even better, four more peg holes just beneath the roof as well. The ones inside the tower are probably for rearranging the plants. I absolutely love this set, I really hope it will be available this year! Quote
fff Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I love it. And the price is fair again ... very tight. MMV was 20 euros less and 30 pieces more, but at least they managed to get something really nice. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Yay! This is the set I must have next year. And 120 ain't bad. Black Falcons anyone? Quote
Nicker Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I'm really not sure why people are talking about 2 sets for. It is clearly one set but in the first photo there appears to be 2 extra infantry soldiers in an attempt to make things look better which may be a bit deceiving to some. One person mentions 2 sets and so the false rumor starts. Quote
Wardancer Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Has anyone noticed the dark gray stains on the black horse barding. Weird, isn't it? The Black Knights armour has them, too. Edited October 1, 2011 by Wardancer Quote

GRogall Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Wow! 2012 is shaping up to be a very expensive Lego year! With at least 2 of these and the Mini-modulars half of my January budget is already blown. But what a great set, will look good integrated with MMV and the is a welcome addition to the Kingdoms theme...... Keep cleaning out my pocket book lego! why don't you? Edited August 8, 2012 by GRogall Quote

Well I Scream Clone for one told everyone that in the first picture there are 2 sets. 2x 10223 equals this picture Of course, all the other pics are of buildings that are half the buildings in the first pic... I must say, now I am a little disappointed by that trick, although a set looks great. Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 What an awesome set! When returning to collect LEGO, i swore to not get anything but SW sets. But this is the stuff which made me break that vow. Medieval Market place was gorgeours and this one is fabulously designed, too. I love the more civil sets which also have some interiour and details. Just look at the stand of the interiour table. Beautiful! A high price tag, yes - but we get a lot for it. Can't wait to lay a hand on it. Hopefully this one will be released for christmas. Quote
Fiction Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Great looking set! have been loving the look of all the Kingdoms line, will definatley be building a dragon and crownie tent ahead of time to make it a four way tournament, alot of possibilities with this set, and i cant see myself ever breaking it down, but wow, what a great parts pack! as previously stated, no panel walls, i love that! the Black Falcon knight is great and i sure hope a sign of things to come as i hope Kingdoms continues but shifts from the lions/dragons conflict to perhaps falcons/forestmen, the clean designs of all Kingdoms buildings has been an eye catching high point for Lego and this set continues to impress in that aspect. Lego is definatley keenly aware of what their fans seem to want and are doing a great job at delivering lately. cheers Quote
giggitygoo Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 As great/perfect as this set is, what would make it better is perhaps more peasants/animals - otherwise it is just BRILLIANT! I especially love the princess with the green dress Quote
