Theres a shedload of these (HPs Lab and Trolley,Grem etc) on Ebay UK already.Clearly the staff at TRU and WHS have been helping themselves to handfuls at a time so hopefully theres a couple left for us punters.

Since I am an American and can't get these myself, I decided to send a friendly email to the SUN's customer service department to see if perhaps they might put a packet in the mail for a LEGO fan outside the UK.

I received this response:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Our promotions, CDs, DVDs etc. are available to UK residents only. We cannot supply outside the UK due to copyright and syndication laws.

Sorry for any disappointment caused and we hope you continue to enjoy our publication abroad.

And to that I say that I am NOT sorry that we dumped all your tea in the Boston harbor and blamed it on the Indians!

Hi

Just had an e-mail from the sun

'Across the nation excitement is building. The time has come for you once again to collect free LEGO toys courtesy of The Sun.

The week long promotion begins this Saturday, October 8. Simply collect a token from The Sun every day next week, fill in your details and exchange it for your free LEGO toy at WHSmith or Toys R Us.

Ever wanted to own a bar of gold worth £10,000? Well soon you could, we've hidden Golden Bricks inside hundreds of LEGO packs. Find one in your pack and you could win one of our great prizes! We've even got a family holiday to Legoland California up for grabs.

So go forth and claim your Star Wars Star Destroyer in Saturday's Sun – and may the force be with you.'

So the hunt is on for a golden brick - I wonder if it will be obvious by feeling the packs?

Just picked up the Venator this morning. Grinned sheepishly at the till lady - too old for lego, I know - and she gave me two :D

Not built it yet. I save the polybag sets for bad days, so I have something to cheer myself up.

I've managed to get hold of 6 spare (brand new & sealed) Venators (30053), so if anyone from outside the UK is interested in one, or all, of them please PM me. I'd be interested in a direct swap for any other SW sealed polybags; my Ebay username is 'hothbase' if you want to check my feedback!

Cheers, Robin :classic:

Popped into WHSmiths at about 11am this morning and they still had boxes full of them left. Either not as many people know about the offer yet, or they've planned this promotion a bit better and got in plenty of stocks. I guess we'll find out throughout the week as more people cotton on...

Thought to myself "I wonder what free Lego The News of the World is giving away today..". Took me quite a while to twig that the it's not even around anymore, let alone giving away free stuff..

I just saw an ad for the Sun Sentinel? talking about free HP Lego. Watching Am. football on the web apparently from Europe.
