alex54 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 He was killed by a stingray and your avatar/title is also a ray breed... :-$ oh yes... I was looking for another langage problem... :-$ Quote
dillthepill Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 That was a great homage, *yoda*! I too was saddened by that and am glad you thought of such a great idea. dillthepill Quote
BigDaddy Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Nice MOC, *yoda* ! I can't believe he's gone now. (RIP, Steve.) And, BTW, Manta rays don't have stingers.... like 'sting'-rays do. :-) Quote
vahkimetru Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I was sad when I heard this. Good job Yoda! PS: A question about this incident that I'm not sure of, what exactly happened to the sting ray? Did they get the barb out of his chest? Quote
oo7 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Good work yoda, I usually don't like the simplicity of classic smiles but this use is fine. Although it's kind of strange without a filming crew surrounding them. Vahkimetru- He got hit in the heart and instantly died, how depressing. But worst of all this is problably going to start a common misconception about string rays being nasty, ferocious and dangerous beasts, just like what Jaws and others did to sharks. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I realize you posted this a while back Yoda, but your MOC is definately a nice way to tribute the life of Steve Irwin. Nice job and very tasteful. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Why are lego crocodiles green? :-X Quote
oo7 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I think the green is alright, although there is one Egypt Adventurers set with two in dark grey. As for this moc which I have not have responded to yet, It simple but sweet, a great diorama and tribune. Quote
