AVector Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I can't believe how much these pieces have risen in cost, and that instructions are being sold for $100 to $200! I tore down my CC, ML, and GG to build other things and my 1 X 8 sand green bricks, dark blue arches, and light-bluish gray doors are just in bags... maybe one day I'll build them back, but I honestly don't like them as much as the FB, GE, PS, TH, and PT. JF8 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeh just spent ages looking through all ma stuff for the pieces for the corner, now to order the missing and tanned few pieces I mean replace tanned pieces Quote
JF8 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Can anyone tell me if the 1x2 inverted reddish brown slopes have a smooth finnish to them or the old rough-ish feel? Thanks as I have found both types when looking through my stuff. Quote

Cian Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Barring about ten parts, my almost visually identical CC and GG are now built Revered the staircase door and swapped the dark blue arch for dark bley on the ground floor of CC; changed the windows on the middle floor to actually be windows and changed the type of frame on the top. I'm still missing the birds. On GG I swapped the extremely dear sand green 1x8s for either 2 1x4s or 2 1x6 + 1 1x4 depending on where they were sited; also swapped some adjacent 1x3s for 1x6s as I was short on these due to a typing error on PAB. Also changed the glassless train windows for the new type that I also used on CC. I think they look fine, another AFOL might notice the differences but that's about it. Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Care to post the pictures of the different windows? I am in the market for the train windows now and may change mine depending on what your's looks like! Thank you! Quote
Wodanis Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Likewise Jersey. Would be cool to see what your modified design looks like Cian. Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I am down to 29 pieces left for all 3 of my modulars. I am starting to purchase the Dark Blue Arches now. I bought 2 of them so I can get started on the Cafe Corner. I also need 1 torso left, then I would of bought all the parts to start on my Green Grocer. (And to think 2 weeks ago, I needed the parts for this one the most.) I am waiting for 7 orders or so now to come in, than I will start the construction! I can not wait!!! Quote
peterab Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 The pictures of the winter village market appear to have 1x8 dark blue arches, so prepare for the price to become much more reasonable for CC rebuilds. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 That will help immensely! Congrats Jersey Brick Guy... that is quite the feat. I'm still far behind on my modulars because I never order pieces for them. I have so many other projects ahead of them and I buy so many sets, it doesn't leave much money for my modulars. Quote

Good call, I didn't notice them on first look at those pics. This couldn't be more perfect timing for me, as I am just beginning to look at BLing Market Street, which has 5 of those puppies!!! Thanks for the heads up Quote

I was able to buy mine for $6.50 each brand new on Brick link. Get them while their hot!! Quote
ibecks Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 I'm also starting to BL Market Street, so dark blue arches coming back into production will be a huge help for me! :) Hopefully they should become available through the replacement parts service, at least for a while. Quote
JF8 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I'll let you know once my order arrives from Europe with them. Hopefully within the next few days! Any news? Quote
Wodanis Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Ibecks, the Dark blue arches should be available I think in September or October 2013. The Winter Village release date is Oct 1st in N.America. I was a bit annoyed at paying 10 Euro for my arch as it was the last one and the same guy off bricklink managed to come up with another 124 of them at half the price I paid nearly two weeks later...I do not know where he acquired them. JF8 Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Yeh, where do these bl sellers acquire such things in quantity Quote
