Big Cam Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 But I'm not from Sweden either... Alright then, it's clear thank Hinckley is out to confuse me, I knew someone had the swedish flag and I knew it was a root admin, but when his flag was the US flag I got confused, and then that scenario snowballed, like a bad hooker.
Hinckley Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 like a bad hooker. ...which is common in Sweden.
Siegfried Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 and then that scenario snowballed, like a bad hooker. Alright then, it's clear thank Hinckley is out to confuse me I don't think you need any help there...
Big Cam Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I R winner ...which is common in Sweden. And in California.
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Well, thanks for letting me play, Hinck. Cuxun was great fun and I hope Elles can move on with her life even though no one can truly replace him. Go Venus Lords! No more waffles for the rest of you.
Rick Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'll be released again after 'interrogation', right? Go... uhm... whatever gang I was part of.
Rumble Strike Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Genius link to the Portal song, Flitwick. You must've had a smile on your face as you wrote that line
Professor Flitwick Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Genius link to the Portal song, Flitwick. You must've had a smile on your face as you wrote that line It just came to me as I was typing it, but I was quite proud of myself! Don't know how I'm going to reference though.
Scouty Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Sorry that I'm going to be unavailable for the rest of the game day. I proxied my vote just in case I might not be able to log in, with permission from Hinck, of course . I'll try and pop in and contribute, but we'll see.
Pandora Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 (which I believe is in violation of Galactic Penology Law) Which is the study of....?
Sandy Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for letting me join in on this experiment, Hinck! I can now say I've played an "all scum" game as well, even if it didn't quite work in my honest opinion. But I sincerely hope you guys see this to the end, maybe there's some elements we can incorporate into future Mafia games here.
XimenaPaulina Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Which is the study of....? Oh Naughty Pandy!
K-Nut Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I can now say I've played an "all scum" game as well, even if it didn't quite work in my honest opinion. Spoiler Alert!!!
Peanuts Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Spoiler Alert!!! Sandy, you're being a bad example for the mafia school students. Don't comment on other players' allegiance!
Hinckley Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for letting me join in on this experiment, Hinck! I can now say I've played an "all scum" game as well, even if it didn't quite work in my honest opinion. I am definitely enjoying this. I know it's not perfect, but I think you'll see more what I was going for when all of the game mechanics have been revealed. I'm definitely excited to discuss all the possibilities of how this could work better! I'm glad you had fun and I hope everyone continues to as well.

Even if every comment was negative, at least you tried it. I for one will definitely have positives as well, it's a fun game style, just not what we are used to. Like def's game, it's great to have more game styles to choose from.
Hinckley Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 I'm trying hard to get Day Five up, everyone. Thanks for your patience. I've had a very tiring few days...
Dragonator Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Thanks for the invitation to this little experiment Hinck, it has certainly been interesting. Looking forward to seeing the outcome.
Fugazi Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 What an eventful night! I also look forward to the conclusion. Thanks for having me in your game Hinck, it was certainly great fun and quite a challenge!
Big Cam Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I hasn't seen killing like that since that game of def's where we were all town but everyone we killed, ended up in another night kill. Some interesting twists, can't wait to see if my gang can survive. All over 23 megablocking space cents
Hinckley Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for putting so much into this game so far. I haven't thanked individuals as they've left the game or started a dead writeboard because I've been encouraging players to continue to play with their team and help strategize, etc. To those who haven't kept following along, and those who have, thanks so much for being part of this little mafia experience. I know a lot of people are frustrated and I'm ready to hear a lot of feedback at the end. However, I can't wait, also, to talk about how much fun this game has been from my perspective! I hope we can figure out how to iron out some of these kinks after the conclusion, but it's been so much fun to watch the drama unfold! Even if Prison Riot becomes synonymous with Witch Hunt, I will always love this game. It's been really fun for me so far. Thanks for taking a chance and trying something new and being so dedicated to it. You guys are all kick-megablocks awesome!
Hinckley Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 With my family still in town, I won't be able to post Day Six until Friday. Sorry for the delay! Thank you all for your patience.
Big Cam Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 With my family still in town, I won't be able to post Day Six until Friday. Sorry for the delay! Thank you all for your patience. Friday! Who knows when that will be!?? I need to know what happened!
Hinckley Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 Friday! Who knows when that will be!?? I need to know what happened! To be quite honest, I need to know too. Why can't people just vote in the correct format the first time? I have to make a fair decision, but with all of the Night Actions in, the "fair" decision dictates who dies. Oh hosting... I have a few things to consider. Twice before in this game, players voted in an incorrect format and I still counted them. And although, I said the day would only last 36 hours in a mod note and in the discussion thread, the game rules posted in the first post still say it lasts 48 hours. Zepher's corrected vote format came in after the end of 36 hours, but since I was out with my family for my birthday, I wasn't able to actually close the thread until four hours later. Instinct, considering those things, would dictate to let the votes stand as they were intended. However, I did post a vote tally that didn't count the votes, and it was pointed out by other players that the rules say only one format will be accepted for voting. So, unfortunately, I have a decision to make here that will seriously alter the outcome of the game. As usual, I will do my best to be fair to everyone. But, I just wanted to let you all know what I'm considering and why. Please put yourself in my shoes for a moment if this seems overly frustrating from your point of view. I am definitely trying to do my best to consider what the players must be thinking and feeling. Thank you. One thing I've learned is this format requires a high amount of attention and vigilance to the host. However, one thing this game has accomplished is framing the game in a team format. Everyone is playing this game 100% and every person involved, even those who didn't like the idea or my execution of the idea, has completely dedicated themselves to their team. That's one thing I was hoping to do with this game, remind people how to play for a team, but I didn't expect everyone to dedicate themselves so much. I was a little more worried people would care a little less about an experiment, but I couldn't be happier that this has been tackled with 100% dedication and concentration...and passion from every player involved. Thanks again everybody! Even with a confusing decision to make, I'm still loving this game.
