God damn it! The more I look at that proto image of the truck, the more I think how stupid are the designers? I mean the final one is great but the proto is greater!!! It looks so more detailed, realistic and maybe less <insert that tiresome argument> than the final one.

2005 seems like it has tons of good sets like that designer sets, but I don't know how'd I would afford all the sets I want. I mean BIONICLE alone would cost me $250, plus the kk sets, the world city sets, lego vikings, and now this designer set...

Here's a no brainer...ditch the Bionicles. :/

A lesson I learned the hard way!

I got all the Toa, Turaga, Rahi, Toa Nuva, Toa Metru, Bohrok, Rahkshi, Makuta, Bohrok Va, Exo-Toa, Boxor, Takanuva, and Takua and Pewku before giving it up (after seeing the wave of sets incoming, I ran for cover under City).

Anyone want them? I can part with them all for $200 or so. :D

lol, I actually received as a gift probably 2 or 3 years ago, a green Toa, I think one of the first. It has a hatchet-like weapon that goes up and down. It is totally megablock. And yet, somewhere I know I read LEGO saying these are like Technic sets for beginners. What lies!!!

Wow, the lion is the best. I look foreward to this set. I wonder what it costs. Im in the US and im guessing 30-50 USD. 2005 is an awesome year for lego so far.

WAYYYYY good detail in the designer set!!! DId you see that tigar/jagwar/cat?! That was awsome!

The city one is good too. Kind of needs more work though...

According to Brickset, there's another Designer set coming in the Summer; 4888 Underwater Exploration:

I wonder what will be included? Submarines? Boats? Fish? It sounds interesting, I guess we'll have to wait and see

I think it's that picture of a shark and ray and diver that was in one of the lego magazines. It was a long time ago but I think that might be it.

Thanks, spotfrog! I'm not hitting too hard on the excavator, but the crane truck is still badass.

Ruki, the name of the set you're mentioning is Deep Sea Predators. Underwater Exploration is entirely new.

The Underwater Exploration set will be about $40 (more than the Wild Hunters set, which is $30) from what I've seen, so I've got no I what it could be.
