LegoVervoerBouwer Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Can anybody tel me what this for set is? Is it a 2005 summer set? maybe 2006? It's set number 7249! They are 2 set number 7249!!! This crane is also set number 7249! :|
sam89 Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 The top picture is the final set set, the other pic is a prototype. The set comes out in March 2005.
sam89 Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 No, but this set is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1054989
The Middleman Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 That's an impressive Crane Truck. Looks like it's going to be $40 or $50. The Construction Site looks the same way. *wacko*
Wolf04 Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 God damn it! The more I look at that proto image of the truck, the more I think how stupid are the designers? I mean the final one is great but the proto is greater!!! It looks so more detailed, realistic and maybe less <insert that tiresome argument> than the final one.
-DJ- Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 2005 seems like it has tons of good sets like that designer sets, but I don't know how'd I would afford all the sets I want. I mean BIONICLE alone would cost me $250, plus the kk sets, the world city sets, lego vikings, and now this designer set...

I got all the Toa, Turaga, Rahi, Toa Nuva, Toa Metru, Bohrok, Rahkshi, Makuta, Bohrok Va, Exo-Toa, Boxor, Takanuva, and Takua and Pewku before giving it up (after seeing the wave of sets incoming, I ran for cover under City). Anyone want them? I can part with them all for $200 or so. :D
Wolf04 Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 lol, I actually received as a gift probably 2 or 3 years ago, a green Toa, I think one of the first. It has a hatchet-like weapon that goes up and down. It is totally megablock. And yet, somewhere I know I read LEGO saying these are like Technic sets for beginners. What lies!!!
The Middleman Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Bionicle is good within the boundaries of Bionicle. I'm back to regular LEGO because there are no limits. Viva la City! (and Vikings too ;))
sam89 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 According to Brickset, there's another Designer set coming in the Summer; 4888 Underwater Exploration: http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=4888-1 I wonder what will be included? Submarines? Boats? Fish? It sounds interesting, I guess we'll have to wait and see :)
The Middleman Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 We already got squids and sharks and lampreys, so I'm guessing it'll be another vehicle set, a la 'cars', with submarines.
Brickmaster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Wow, the lion is the best. I look foreward to this set. I wonder what it costs. Im in the US and im guessing 30-50 USD. 2005 is an awesome year for lego so far.
Brickmaster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 The city sets are soooooo cool. I cant wait to get the construction sets and the ferrari semi.
spotfrog Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I found a picture of the final minifig crane design- http://set.brickinside.com/NeoView.php?Db=...5219&BackDepth= ...too bad it's not the one we hoped would be final. The excavater is also there- http://set.brickinside.com/NeoView.php?Db=...220&BackDepth=1
Ruki The Ko-Matoran Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 WAYYYYY good detail in the designer set!!! DId you see that tigar/jagwar/cat?! That was awsome! The city one is good too. Kind of needs more work though... It was a long time ago but I think that might be it.
The Middleman Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Thanks, spotfrog! I'm not hitting too hard on the excavator, but the crane truck is still badass. Ruki, the name of the set you're mentioning is Deep Sea Predators. Underwater Exploration is entirely new.
Jipay Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 At least the excavator has improved from its last version
Jipay Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Well, time for a little bit of MOC then *satis*
sam89 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 The Underwater Exploration set will be about $40 (more than the Wild Hunters set, which is $30) from what I've seen, so I've got no I what it could be.
spotfrog Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Where did the "Underwater Exploration" picture go? Can someone describe what it was of?
