I'd like to know if the boxes have anything in them, and If so, I'd like to open them up and show the contents to the crowd.

Some more clothes, a few books, and some other souvenirs from various trips around the world with her father.

"That's my ex-wife. She left Amber and I many years ago." Winston says sadly.

I'm sorry to hear that Winston. How did that came to happen? Did she ever returned to Lexington since? And what is her name?

Marcus tears all of Amber's hard work away, however he can't see anything suspicious or out of place in the garden.

Do you know how much work I've put into this garden?

"Even though it happened a long time ago, I still find it difficult to talk about, especially with Amber here." Winston replied sadly.

"Are we finished tearing up gardens and rummaging through precious artifacts? I would like to go somewhere else now."

Hmmm.

More garden work < Catching the Chief's killer

"I think this house has turned up all it can, without one of us breaking Winston's artefacts." :look:

"Well, on to the either the Jordan of the Montgomery residence. Hopefully something about the affair may lead to the chief's death."

There is not enough time left in the day to go across town. Is there somewhere closer you'd like to visit?

Just a few more seconds folks, I wasn't finished here.

I would like to have a look at the books. What are the titles? Is there a diary, or any written notes?

I'm sorry Winston but that isn't good enough. Amber must already know about this, doesn't she? So, why did her mother leave you both? And have you ever seen her since?

The books are pretty standard, however there is a diary there.

How far back does it go? I would like to read any recent entry mentioning either Winston, Amber's mother or the Chief.

Um, I'm sorry Amber, but you understand that we're on the heels of a killer and every piece of information helps.

Well, go on. I have to agree solving the murder is more important than privacy or flowers.

"Amber, I'm sorry about this, but in the interest of gathering all the information we can, I'd like to read out all the entries since the day before Chief McGovern's death."

For sake of understanding, I'll label the dates as "Chapter One", "Chapter Two", etc..

Chapter One

Wasted time at the police station today. Annoyed with the lack of progress. This journal thing pisses me off, I hate it so much. I know that one day it'll come back to bite me, but whatever. Crap, what else is there to write? I hate this thing. That super hot James kept giving me looks today. He's like, twice my age, but who cares. Do I still need to write? Damn online therapist telling me to express my feelings in a journal.

Chapter Two

Wasted more time at the police station today. This old coroner doctor dude showed up and explained what we already knew. That was pretty boring I'll have to say. My dad got some lame artifact today. I think it was some Egyptian thing. That's just one more delicate object I have to look out for when I go downstairs. As much as I love my dad, I can't wait to move out. One day I'll run off with the love of my life. This investigation is totally lame. Why can't we let the police handle this? The dumb Mayor said that the town should help. Then why are only eleven of us regular people actually investigating? What about the other like hundred or so people. I don't even remember electing this guy, where did he come from? Whatever.

Chapter Three

Wasted more time at the police station today, then the town finally got the hint to go somewhere else. Looked at Deputy Chief Scott's house. It's nice. I liked the animal-skin pillow she had. That must have been really difficult to acquire with all those new laws against skinning animals. I watched her throw paper away last night, I'm glad I can contribute somewhat. Marcus also got beat up last night. Can't say I feel bad for the guy. What a loser going out in his Starfleet Uniform to go follow someone. Um, let's see, what else can I ramble on about? Nothing, that's what.

Chapter Four

We investigated a bunch of stuff today, like the grocery store and the apartment building above it. Nothing really happened that's memorable. Had a lot of popcorn today, that was a bad idea. We watched a really poorly put together "video" of the murder scene. I'm going to go take a nap. I have no feelings to let out.

The journal only goes back a few weeks.

Winston would like to remember why his ex-wife left.

mr._robertson.jpg

"She grew to be dissatisfied with my never being home. She was angry that she had to deal with Amber all the time while I spent my days in Manhattan. She never wanted a child, which is why she resented Amber. Eventually, Amber and I returned home one day to see that she had packed her bags and left. We haven't seen or heard from her since."

If I recall, my home is very close to that of Winston's. Perhaps we can visit there? And then tomorrow we can visit the Jordan Residence.

"Stop embarrassing me dad! Our house is on the other side of town next to the Jordan Residence!"

mr.monty.jpg

"Oops! Now I remember!"

He starts hitting Amber.

"Get away from me you freak!"

"Hey! Stop it!"

Marcus is stopped.

Amber Robertson (Peanuts) now has 9 life points.

And that's why you'll always be alone, Marcus.

The little lady was only saying what we were all thinking anyway. You're a nerd. Accept it and you'll be better off. If I weren't a pacifistic man, I'd smack you upside the head for hitting a woman.

Winston may I ask what you were doing in Manhattan so much?

Posted

Marcus, if you can't control your violent urges I'll have to arrest you. And I will.

Um, who's neighbour with Winston again?

On one side is the docks of Lexington. On the other side is the Fire Brigade. Further down is the Pet Shop and Officer Hutch's place.

Also, as a Police Officer, Deputy Chief Scott is within full jurisdiction to arrest Marcus.

Well while we're here I say let's have a look at the docks. Ever since that attack on a New York tourist this summer, there's something about the docks that doesn't feel right to me.
