K-Nut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'd like to have a description of the second floor.
Peanuts Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Robbie checks behind the sofa. There's a lost television remote, an old TV guide magazine, a five dollar bill, and a copy of Red Scare Mystery, a novel. Ah, I wondered where the novel was. It's a really good story, I can tell you. About a heroic communist farmer defending the laboring classes and then being finally killed by some guy...really great! I'd like to lie down on the couch and read the novel while the party investigates my house. Oh, and I'd like to get a description of the bathroom, please.
Bob Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 "Does the phone have a redial button? If possible, I'd like to phone up the recent contact." "I'd also like to check outside, I'll see if there's anything in the garden." Officer Jackson hits redial. "Phoenix Antiques, this is Jacob speaking. How may I help you?" There's nothing outside. I'd like to have a description of the second floor. Not pictured is the stairs leading upstairs. Ah, I wondered where the novel was. It's a really good story, I can tell you. I'd like to lie down on the couch and read the novel while the party investigates my house. Oh, and I'd like to get a description of the bathroom, please. Amber enters her bathroom. It's a small one, with only a toilet, shower, and sink.
Professor Flitwick Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "Phoenix Antiques, this is Jacob speaking. How may I help you?" "Now it's time to test my under-cover skills, and impression skills." "Ah, hello, Winston Robertson here. I need to know all of my recent purchases; I'm trying to do the accounts and I've lost all of the receipts. Could you help me?"
Brickdoctor Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'd like to ask Mrs. Jordan what is in her letter/package. It's personal, and, for now, will remain private. Hope you understand.
Peanuts Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'd like to look inside the toilet, the shower and the sink, before I head upstairs to that museum of a second floor. It's personal, and, for now, will remain private. Hope you understand. I'm afraid, I don't understand. No one of us cares much about their privacy right now, as we are searching houses without warrants and so on. But of course we can't force you to show us. Or at least, I can't force you. I'm sure there are people among us who'd be able to.

But of course we can't force you to show us. Or at least, I can't force you. I'm sure there are people among us who'd be able to. I agree. Now's not really the time to be keeping secrets.

Don't threaten her."
Bob Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 "Now it's time to test my under-cover skills, and impression skills." "Ah, hello, Winston Robertson here. I need to know all of my recent purchases; I'm trying to do the accounts and I've lost all of the receipts. Could you help me?" "You don't even sound like Winston. He's my best customer. Who are you?"
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "You don't even sound like Winston. He's my best customer. Who are you?" Psst. Say you're his secretary. Or his accountant. Or I suppose we could just put the Real Winston on. You sure have a lot of mighty fine looking junk, um, stuff here, Winston. How are you able to afford all of it? Some of it looks pretty expensive.
Bob Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 I'd like to look inside the toilet, the shower and the sink, before I head upstairs to that museum of a second floor. There's nothing in the toilet. The shower is empty as well, save for some toiletries. The sink appears just as normal as the other items in the bathroom.
Fugazi Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 It's personal, and, for now, will remain private. Hope you understand. I'm sorry Mrs Jordan, but we're investigating a murder -- plus arson -- and until we find who's behind it everyone is suspect. I insist you tell us more about this letter. You do realise that hiding anything from us makes you look suspicious? With utmost care, I would like to open/examine all of Winston's collection pieces, looking for hidden objects.

"Maybe we should investigate the Jordans' house next and see if we can find some answers there."
Peanuts Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Maybe we should investigate the Jordans' house next and see if we can find some answers there." I agree. I'd like to keep an eye on Sarah, in case she tries to get rid of the mail or does domething else.
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I'm sorry Mrs Jordan, but we're investigating a murder -- plus arson -- and until we find who's behind it everyone is suspect. I insist you tell us more about this letter. You do realise that hiding anything from us makes you look suspicious? I realize that. This also concerns Mr. Montgomery, and I'm waiting to speak to him in private before I say anything.
Rumble Strike Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Winston was looking increasingly nervous. This wasn't down to being a murder suspect though, more that his friends and acquaintences were upstairs looking over his collection. "Please be careful!" he said, gratified to see that Deputy Scott was being just that. His estimation of her went up. "As for how I am able to afford it, well, I used to be an investment banker so learned a thing or two. And please don't upset my main source for upcoming artefacts." He paused, before looking at Sarah Jordan. "I'm afraid I agree with the others. If this letter could be important for this investigation it is imperative that we see it. Everyone else has been subjected to having property searched."
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Very well. These were in the package: god specifically told me that it is evident from these pictures that Alex is having an affair with Mrs. Julia Montgomery. In light of these, I insist that we search my house next.
Professor Flitwick Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "You don't even sound like Winston. He's my best customer. Who are you?" "Well, that failed. I'm Officer Jackson, investigating into the murder of Chief McGovern. There is a possible, if flimsy, lead that indicates Mr. Winston may have some connections to the murder. We need to know, what are the most recent purchases of Mr. Winston?" Upon finding out what the most recent items he acquired are, I'd like to shake and closely examine them. Alex is having an affair with Mrs. Julia Montgomery. "Adultery? I think your house might be worth searching, but are we done here?"
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "I think your house might be worth searching, but are we done here?" I know we're not done here yet. I want my house searched next.
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Unless the chief was involved in the affair somehow , how is that all that relevant to the murder? Unless the chief was blackmailing the lovers... There were two people on that tape. Perhaps the chief went to collect a payment and was killed instead. Tell me more about this investment banking, Winston. Surely you had to start with some money to make more. Do you have any proof that investments is where the money comes from?
Fugazi Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Very well. These were in the package: god specifically told me that it is evident from these pictures that Alex is having an affair with Mrs. Julia Montgomery. Oh! Were you told who took those pictures? And where they have been taken? The croissant and power drill are intriguing. Yes, maybe there was a blackmail business going on, or else why would those photos exist in the first place?
ADHO15 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 And where they have been taken? The croissant and power drill are intriguing. Maybe the Jordans' house. This is why I suggested that we search there next. Yes, maybe there was a blackmail business going on, or else why would those photos exist in the first place? My thoughts exactly. Maybe Mr. Jordan could be this brown-haired man we're looking for?
Peanuts Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 How did you get those, Sarah? There is a good chance that, if there actually was a blackmailing affair going on, the person who sent them to you was also involved, and maybe even was the third brown-haired man standing by. And even if not, I'm really curious to learn where they came from.
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Oh! Were you told who took those pictures? And where they have been taken? I was not told.
Peanuts Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 My thoughts exactly. Maybe Mr. Jordan could be this brown-haired man we're looking for? Also a possibility. I forgot he already was among our top three suspects.
