My local TRU has series 5, 6, and 7 but I'm not paying $3.50 a pop.

My local Wal-Mart has series 7 on an end cap two aisles away from the Lego aisle. That wouldn't bother me except that in their Lego aisle they have MB shelved in and along with the Lego boxes so unsuspecting patents/kids think they are the same thing. Nowhere else do you find two competing brands interspersed in such a way.

3.50? That's better then the price tag on the CMF's at the TRU about 45 minutes away from us. We stopped there a few days ago to see if i could find series 6 figures since all other attempts, including a barnes and noble, came up with nothing. The series 5 and 7(no series 6 though) were 4 dollars a pack

As far as the MB issue, that's the same thing with the closest walmart to me also. I honestly think that the WM doesn't even care about lego stuff anymore. The current construction bricks(Lego, MB and knex) section is about half an aisle(A full aisle would be the shelves on BOTH sides of you) and around 5 average shelf lengths long. By the time you subtract the clone brands, star wars(there a bunch of star wars stuff), and bulky containers all that's left is a little city, creator, empty space for ninjago, 1 or 2 POTC, and i think that's it.

My local TRU also has Series 5, 6 and 7, but each one is priced differently - $2.99, $3.99 and $3.49, respectively.

Most or all of my local Walmarts also have Series 5 in abundance, but have been strangely lacking in Series 6 for perhaps a couple months. Over in the last couple pages of this Series 6 thread, some others and I have been discussing what appears to be the odd under-distribution of this particular series - not only do stores (not just Walmart, but Target as well) seem to have gotten in fewer of them, but it appears a lot of the stores aren't even putting some of their stock out on the floor but are instead holding it back in the stockrooms, for whatever reason. Meanwhile, getting back to Series 7, I don't think I've seen it at Walmart at all yet. The Targets near me both have it, though. There, I've seen it intermingled with similar randomly-packed figures from other companies, just as you've described.

As far as the holding stock, i think it's because the storesare probably to lazy to put it out and/or it's easier to tell customers that we "don't" have any out at the moment. The second closest walmart appears to actually have series 6 AND 7 figures but seems like they can't be bothered to put out more then 1 pack of each.

As far as series 7, i saw 1 pack at the second closest walmart but nowhere else. When it comes to location at target, one had them right in the same aisle and the other had the display a few aisles down.

The daredevil is my favorite,I have 2 of him,Evel Knievel was my idol when I was a kid!

Likewise. I had the Knievel toys of the day and the CMF daredevil really touches a sentimental side. I'm sure we will see MOCs using the figure and motorcycles.

Hello.

I'm giving out to you my guide to pick 100% of the minifigs without error by feeling the bags.

VERY EASY:

-Little Red: Since she is the only mini with short legs, and with a rubber part (the basket) you really can't miss her.

-Neptune: The fish tail and the absence of legs is your key. Really easy.

-Viking Woman: Go for the slope as legs. If you can find a little horn, or the shield, or the unique hairpiece with two long braids... here she is. If you don't find...

-Bride: Go for the slope. Be sure you don't find any of the above parts.

EASY:

-Space Marine: One of the biggest parts in the series is the Space Marine Armor. It's really difficult to miss. If you still are uncertain, go for the helmet. Sometimes it can be possible to mistake the Marine Armor for the Aztec Helmet. Look for the space gun if you are still uncertain.

-Aztec Warrior. Go for the round shield, the big helmet, the pike. Find 2 of these three pieces, and you're done.

-Evil Knight. If you happen to find the sword or the shield, it's done (be sure, however, not to mistake the long sword with the viking short sword). If not, you have still the armour. It can't be missed for the space marine, as it has not such big shoulders.

-Bunny. If you find the headgear, it's bingo. If it is concerned, you can still look for the carrot. It's not that difficult after all.

MEDIUM:

- Bagpiper: Of course, the bagpipe is easy to find, but not always it's on your fingertips. In this case, I suggest to spot the headgear. It has a very small ball on it.

- Jungle Boy: As the bagpiper, if you find the monkey you're done. If not, remember that he has two knife's on a sprue. It is not such difficult to find them.

- Computer Programmer: The laptop is the only flat piece in all this series. No 1x2 or 2x2 tiles this time. If you don't spot this part, you must look for the cup. And things become a little harder.

- Daredevil. It's the only character with TWO headgears, hairs and a helmet. Strange as it can be, I always identify this guy by his visor.

QUITE HARD:

- Swimmer: The headgear is difficult to feel, it can be switched for a lot of other parts (like bride or nerd's hairs), so you have to find the medal.

- Pacifist: Ok, he has a very unique hair, but it can be messed for other things. So keep the hair AND the flowers, to be sure you get your guy.

- Tennis player. If the Tennis racquet is concerned, it's hard to identify this one on first feel. Sleepyhead's hair can be mistaken for the daredevil ones, so be sure you don't find the helmet too.

- Guitarist. For me, if you get the guitar concerned (and it often does, it ends within the sheet or somewhere else), the hairpiece can be messed. If you want to get this particoular one, you must be really careful and look for the guitar, even if it takes a bit. I usually find this one by understanding it's not one of the other 15 minifigs.

This way, I secured already 80 minifigures, making 2 complete series and keeping a lot of spares for me.

I hope this little guide can be useful for you too.

INS, I personally thought that the Swimmer was extremely easy to find.... The medal is very distinctive. Perhaps that's just me though.

Anyway, I might sound very silly, but has anyone else noticed that the Hippy has arm printing? I just barely realized that...

The medal is a very thin part, and it can easily go inside the sheet, or under/beside the 3x4 plate. I have recently developed a way to discern the guitarist, and I had to feel S4/S5/S6 too... damn S4 was so hard! I almost forgot how hard it was!

I just bought my second Series 7 CMF, the evil knight (I'm quite very skint at the moment, so I'm going slowly). After some lightly disappointed reviews and comments I'd read from here I was quite positively surprised when I got it to my hands. I really like the shield, and the boar is discernible enough - maybe it would have looked better in red or dark red, maybe not. I like it in brown too. Of course it's unfortunate that the torso is blank, but I don't find the details on legs and breastplate overdone, as some have. I had thought I might not need more than one, but now I surely want at least another, maybe even more.

Just noticed that in amazon.it has a case of series 7 is now for 87,10 euros! (sold by amazon)

http://www.amazon.it/gp/offer-listing/B005WGIGZI/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I had to order my 2 cases for a total 192,17 euros incl shipping.

That's only 1,60 euros per figure, incl shipping.

Too bad, the estimate for shipping at the moment is September 10-14, and avaibility September 1.

First six packs today, containing:

a bride, a tennis player, a Hippie, a black knight, Neptune, a jungle boy. Not bad at all.

(Please notice that I don't use the feeling method)

I just added the Space Marine and the Bride to my collection (an unlikely couple!). Nice figs both of them, though I admit I don't completely get why they designed the new helmet the way they did, so that no visor can be added (though I do understand the cost-cutting/artistic decision not to include one with the figure). I don't have any of the new round 1x1 tiles yet, would one (transclear maybe) look good on the breastplate of the armour, "Iron Man style"? 1x1 stud looks a bit awkward.

I got the Bride figure yesterday, and it is really lovely. The detail is spot-on, and the pieces are great.
