Sid Sidious Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I think Cuusoo users should be able to vote a dislike or a negative vote or something like that. When a certain amount of votes has been reached and a certain percentage of a MOC's votes are dislikes, the MOC would be removed. Having the certain amount of votes requirement would make it so that if the first vote for a MOC was dislike, it wouldn't get auto-deleted. For example, if the vote threshold was 10 votes and 75% dislikes, a MOC with 100 votes would get deleted if 75 of those votes were dislikes. This would also keep the MOC with 1 vote from being deleted after 2 dislikes. Quote

I think it would be better if those Dislikes flagged a submission for a panel of TLG employees to delete, much the same way a certain amount of supporters allows a submission to be considered by TLG for production. Having a human making the final decision is the key with a program like this. Quote
KimT Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 No need for a separate topic on this. Let's keep all the cuusoo in this topic in the Star Wars Forum. Feel free to discuss the more general parts in LEGO General Discussion & News Forum if you think it should have a topic of it's own. Quote
BaronSat Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hello, Today I get noticed by someone via Flickr that my Bantha pic has been used for a cuusoo project. The "little burglar" must be a young fan so I asked him to remove it. But the idea was good so I created a cuuso project for this model, now let see how many people will like it??? if you want to support, the adress is : My Lego Bantha And BTW the model is this one: Quote

art_apples Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Hi Baron... Great Bantha model... so much so that when you first showed images of it last year, I took the liberty of reverse engineering it for myself to see if I could make any improvemnets on it. My observations about it as it stands in regard to it being an official set is that the horns, chin/beard area and tail are all quite fragile when handling it. Also I'm not sure how exactly you built up the head area but my attempt proved to leave that area fragile to the touch as well. I don't know the exact pieces you used there but for my attempt I done it so the head turns left and right on a 2x2 turning plate, but what little room there is left for the interior of the head can only really be made up with smaller lego pieces as the exterior fur can only be done taht one way, which excludes using pieces which can be used for both the outside fur and also the inside construction as well. This sort of leaves the head fragile to the touch as a result. Certainly any play with it would snap of the horns at the slightest touch, as well as the underchin/fur area being prone to snapping off easily to. And lastly the feet, you use upside down studs there, which I think look lovely, however they wouldn't click into a base plate for example so I don't think that would perhaps work as an official lego solution. And if using it as a play toy and you moved it across a rougher surface like a carpet then the feet studs and legs also have a tendacy to fall of quite easily. But as I say, a great model.. you really captured that shaggy fur look, and the scale is just right to. But as it stands it would maybe be better suited as a display piece rather than as a play toy. Brickmamba Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 and forgot to mention who would be stupid enough to post this up on cussoo lol, it's so popular and publicized on so many forums everyone recognizes it and the maker Quote
Huntleyfx Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I know I am late to the party, but great work! Any Tusken Raider additions are excellent in my book. Quote
BaronSat Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I just realised I didn't noticed the PUBLISH button on Cuusoo so the project wasn't viewable!!!! It's fixed but I feel very.... stupid!!! Quote
TomRoid Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 LEGO CUUSOO idea by haru: STAR WARS DARK BUCKET Especially useful for building scenes of STAR WARS with LEGO, and most likely a dream come true for those who wish to have 100 minifigure Storm Troopers to play with! This DARK BUCKET contains 99 Storm Troopers and one black-chrome Darth Vader. I just think that the sheer number of Troopers will add jaw dropping awesomeness into any STAR WARS creation, and ultimately motivate you to start creating something with LEGO! Operation Tomodachi, whereby the United States Armed Forces carried out rescue operations to assist Japan in 2011 during the 3.11 disaster. I want to donate ALL royalties (if this set manage to achieve the target of 10,000 votes) to children in Fukushima, or any other children charity organization for that matter. I am sure many of you out there have lots of good ideas to improve on this bucket, so any ideas or comments are welcome! Let’s do good with minifig bad guys! Your vote counts in helping us to realize this ultimate LEGO bucket! Quote
AlexScammer Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I think it's a very great idea for TLC to do this. I think , if this comes out, every single Star Wars fan should and will get this. Every one of us knows that none will resist this . But we also know that the price won't make anybody happy. Just if you think about it, 100 Stormtroopers. The maximum that we have seen was only 4 in set 7264, and they weren't even the "new looking" ones. The new ones were only 3 in 7667. But here, it's 100. TLC won't make the price less then $100. But $100 is not that bad, what if it will be $200? Even though the average will be less than $2 per figure + a free chrome Darth Vader, still, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. And I am not sure if anybody will. "Huge Fans" only... But I am pretty sure it will be a big triumph for the resellers in different countries. I am pretty sure someone will earn a whole bunch of money with it. And also, this is a good idea for festivals or parties of LEGO Fans. You buy a bucket for the party and everyone plays the game, who can build more Stormtroopers in one minute. It will be something like this: And what we get because of the price? Those reasons to buy only... What do you think? Quote
DFOL Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I kinda like the idea, this would be the ultimate army builder. Especially when you can get a similar instant-army for other major factions as well. For the right price i'd be very tempted to buy these. Quote
AndyC Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Although it would be kind of cool, I suspect Hasbro would disapprove. And parents probably wouldn't shell out for 100 identical minifigures either. Quote
StoutFiles Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 An interesting thought but it'll never happen, the amount of people who would want this is too small given the price tag ($100+). Not to mention Hasbro would have it shut down immediately. They already had Stormtroopers in the army building sets, maybe they'll do it again someday. You'll never get a bucket of them though. Quote
b4p Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) it needs to cost roughly $20-$30 IMO which means it'll have 10 pieces max. I'd put 9 troopers and 1 random into it. The random would be the leia bounty hunter, lando, skiff lando, greedo, or chrome c3po :) Edited December 21, 2011 by b4p Quote
