K-Nut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 OOC: Nevermind Althior took out his compass to see where the party should go.
Masked Builder Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Althior took out his compass to see where the party should go. The compass goes back and forth between the trails. It seems it can't decide which direction it wants to point in.
Kadabra Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) "Perhaps now would be the ideal time to break our party into two smaller groups? Namyrra, the rogue and I could go left while you, the esteemed party leader, take Althior and the house-elf right." Edited October 16, 2011 by Kadabra
K-Nut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 The compass goes back and forth between the trails. It seems it can't decide which direction it wants to point in. "I curse the day these were invented." OOC: New image in my profile, way better IMO.
Quarryman Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "Perhaps now would be the ideal time to break our party into two smaller groups? Namyrra, the rogue and I could go left while you, the esteemed party leader, take Althior and the house-elf right." "Uhm, if we split up we would want the most powerful among us, which is Althior, to go with the group with two inexperienced members, he's the most likely to be capable of vanquishing any foes they encounter."
K-Nut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "But what if we came to another fork after splitting up? We wouldn't want to split up again. I say we just take our toll and try each way. Trust me, I've navigated a cave."
Kadabra Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "Uhm, if we split up we would want the most powerful among us, which is Althior, to go with the group with two inexperienced members, he's the most likely to be capable of vanquishing any foes they encounter." "But I don't like Althior..." "I suppose you are correct, Namyrra, and we should also take Althior's idea into consideration. However, a Magic Compass is enchanted to point in the direction of our objective no matter what, so if it is currently confused, I can think of only three possible reasons, though feel free to correct me if I'm wrong: 1): There is some sort of magical interference in the area, 2): Our quarry has split into two smaller groups, one down each path, or 3): Either path will lead us to our goal with equal difficulty."
Quarryman Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "But what if we came to another fork after splitting up? We wouldn't want to split up again. I say we just take our toll and try each way. Trust me, I've navigated a cave." "That, mr Althior, is a very good point. I have to agree. So, why don't we flip a coin, on heads we go right, tails we go left" Namyrra throws a coin in the air and as the party watches it lands solidly showing heads. "So, I say we go right, unless anyone has a better idea?"
K-Nut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "I have a better idea!" Althior calls to the right, "Is anybody there?" "No." "Okay!" "What? It could've worked!" "I have no problems with going right, but let's wait for our esteemed leader's word"
The Legonater Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I whisper 'Guide my sword', which then plunges into a tree. Whatever you guys choose works for me. I'm the new guy here, remember?
Waterbrick Down Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "To the right., Althior I would suggest you get that compass looked into upon our return to Eubric, it should have pointed in the right direction, but we have higher concerns for the moment."

"In the right direction, or the correct direction?" "Ha ha. You're funny." "Put a sock in it! Anyways it might have swayed because both ways would've been fine."
Waterbrick Down Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Or the powes above are frustrated that we have such a useful item and are thus toying with the results "

Kadabra Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) Arasmyth uses a physical attack from the front row on Mutant Frog A. OOC: I should've chosen an element with more than 2 strong points to specialize in Edited October 17, 2011 by Kadabra
K-Nut Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Althior casts a Lightning spell at Mutant Slug from the back row.
The Legonater Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) I attack the Mutant Frog (b) from the front row with my longsword. Edited October 17, 2011 by The Legonater
Waterbrick Down Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Wretched aquatic beasts, I thought this was a forrest, not a swamp, do the Hinckwells know they've invested their wealth in a marsh? " Skrall notched a bolt in his crossbow from the back row and targetted the mutant frog (a). "You know the drill all, mages conserve yer ether unless it will be effective. Since Namyrra has the capability of killing with a single blow, I suggest the remainder of us target that amphibian (a)." Order of attack: Althior Namyrra Skrall Dyric Arasmyth Bob
The Legonater Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 A good idea, but I've shifted my focus to the second frog, because someone has to attack it, right?
Waterbrick Down Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Correct my good rogue, however I'm sure Namyrra already has that frog (b) in her sights, so to say."
The Legonater Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Correct my good rogue, however I'm sure Namyrra already has that frog (b) in her sights, so to say." But if we all attak frog (a) and she attacks frog (b), who will attack the slug?
Kadabra Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "I do believe Althior has targeted the slug with his electrical magic."
Waterbrick Down Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Althior has that covered Rone and with good reason, should he become confused, he could accidentally smite one of us possibly afterword."
Quarryman Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Ah, more beasts to kill, I shall cast a Wood spell at Mutant Frog B from the Back Row."
