"Thanks Nur, you're not only a great hero but also a great friend! I believe this team will prevail whatever the gods throw in our way."

(No, that is not a challenge Sandy! )

I shall attack the tan book from the back row. (Probably not needed unless the ice bombs fail)

OOC: Attack them from back row everyone, Ice bombs can't fail. Wait, if we blow 'em up with the ice bombs, do they get free hits before we use the bombs? If the bombs are after their attacks, then lets all just attack a different one.

Party Leader, how will the spoils of the battle be divided?

The astronomy book that Maurice was grasping looked like it had gone through a shredder and then burned. Only a single page remained somewhat intact, although it was tattered as well.

With all the books sprawled on the floors and the shelves, the party had no time to try to find another guide to astronomy, so the one page was all they had to go with in trying to decide how the globes should be aligned.

"Good work with those bombs, saved us a lot of trouble. I will heal everyone except Alf who is already nearly full health thanks to his barbarian traits. Then I'm going to drink one of the tonics and dived the rest of them equally between me and Nur."

Maurice then sat down to study the badly damaged piece of parchment. After not too long he managed to come up with a suggestion.

"Let's see, the planet closest to the sun is named Belvel and I think it says that Belvel and Spyrium are the same size. That would mean those are either red and black or brown and grey. The fourth planet is pitch black I think it says. The radiant planet, hm, that must mean the red one I think, is rotating in the same direction as our own, That means those planets can't be adjacent in the system. And Galidoor is similar to our own planet with water, well the only two planets with water are the brown and grey so it must be one of them. Which means the Belvel and Spyrium planets are red and black, and that means Belvel must be red since the fourth planet is black. Our own planet must then be third in the row since it can't be next to Belvel. Finally, the brown planet often blocks the sun which means it must be nearer the sun then us, making it Galidoor. Our own grey planet might be this Olegaia that is mentioned in this book, scientists are always coming up with complicated names for simple things. What wrong with Earth? Exofors is probably not in this model, maybe it wasn't even discovered back when Bohring lived and made this puzzle."

The team hurries back to the Planetarium and tries the combination, from the sun and out: Red globe, Brown globe, Grey globe, Black globe.

Or maybe the party just hasn't found it yet. :hmpf:

As the party puts the globes in their possession to place, they see how the metal rods revolve around the central pole.

"So, are we head to Planetarium again?" If so, Alf will use his magnifying glass.

OOC: So can I go get that Magnifying glass, or not?

Alf bends to pick up one of the magnifying glasses, but sees that it got broken in the blast. There is nothing more to find in the ruined library.

What does Alf want to use his magnifying glass on?

"I think not, there is something missing here. :hmpf_bad:

I fear we overlooked something in the Auditorium. We migth need to return there and search it more carefully. Now that we know that we are looking for a sun-like globe we might actually find it. I remember that the stained glass window had a centre piece in it that looked quite interesting."

"Can we go back there and use a magnifying glass on the stained glass window and see if that hold some secret?"

"Can we go back there and use a magnifying glass on the stained glass window and see if that hold some secret?"

The party searches the auditorium more thoroughly this time, but they still do not find anything there. The ominous whispers still linger in the air, though.

"I feel a bit lost. And these whispering voices are making me really nervous. Does anyone have any idea what to do?"

Posted

I guess the best idea now is to go through the hole behind the mirror.

"Without the Meteor Blade? I don't know what is hiding down there except this talk about a giant snake, but I sure would have felt much better if I knew we had the blade with us."

"But maybe you are right. We don't seem to be getting anywhere here at the moment. Maybe the last globe piece has been taken by the snake down to the sewers."

En Sabah Nur sat on the floor with his legs crossed. "I'll have to search my thoughts on how the quest has progressed up to this point..." Nur attempted to review the party's progression thus far but his thoughts lingered on his mirror image. "I did like his leggings." The mage thought, "Perhaps I'll make a change once we've left this place..."

"Where was it we met Bohring again?"

"Those statues! I think they become alive!"

"While we in auditorium, Alf look at magic paper looking thing and board (black board)." Alf tries to read what is written on them?

OOC: I'm building this whole school, so I'm just wondering, are those pillars on the sides where windows are supposed to be, or are those entrances to other parts of the building?

Could you possibly try to trace the voices to where they are coming from?

Erdathcath tries to to listen where the whispers originate. It's not easy, since there's an echo in the auditorium, but her elven ears trace the sound to come from under the floor.

"While we in auditorium, Alf look at magic paper looking thing and board (black board)." Alf tries to read what is written on them?

As Alf looks at the blackboard again, he sees that the earlier equations have been replaced by profane scribblings, just like those written on the East Wing wall.

Alf will use his magnifying glass to check if the statues are part of some trap.

Alf finds no traps, but he notices that the weapons that the statues carry are not made of stone, but metal. They are too high up to reach, though.

"I have no idea how to proceed from here. No traps, no globe, just those whispering voices under the floor. I guess that would mean they come from the sewers. I really see no other option but to take our chances with the secret door at the Faculty Office but if any of you got better idea, please try it."
