"I have no idea how to proceed from here. No traps, no globe, just those whispering voices under the floor. I guess that would mean they come from the sewers. I really see no other option but to take our chances with the secret door at the Faculty Office but if any of you got better idea, please try it."

The party saw no other option but to try out the secret passage at the Faculty Offices. Behind the opening in the wall they discovered a spiral staircase descending into darkness. Walking down the stairs their eyes got used to the dimness, and when the stairs ended about two floors down, they arrived to a tunnel with a stream running in the middle. En Sabah Nur got a creepy flashback from his previous quest: they were definitely back in the sewers that ran below Eubric.

Much to everyone's surprise, there was a golden globe floating in the middle of the stream. As if guided by an unseen hand, the globe drifted to the left.

Would the party pursue the globe, or go right instead?

Alf will quickly use his Magnifying Glass to check for traps around the water and the area of the globe. "Erdathcath! talk to rat, see if know anything!" If there are no traps, and unless the PL (Party Leader) does not want me to, I'll try to grab the globe

OOC: And if it is too late to check for traps, check post 301, not editted.

Nur looked around the sewer. Two missions requiring sewer navigation would definately improve his resume in the eyes of the Wolfgang who must know every corner of Eubric like the back of their hand. "Aye, let's follow the globe. Erdathcath, what says your rat?"

Erdathcath uses her knack at Animal Talk to communicate with the rat.

"Squeak squiggity squeak! <Urgh, I can't stand the stench anymore! This was a nice home until all those reeking corpses and trolls started to drop in!>"

The party then decides to follow the globe to the left. The tunnel continues straight. The globe suddenly comes to a halt, and the party sees a skeleton with long hair on the sidewalk. A faint light shines down upon the corpse through a grid above.

Maurice is now able to pick up the globe and pocket it.

What will the party do now?

Does anyone know where we are located now? Are we still under the School, or somewhere else?

If we are still under the school, let's open up this grid and see what we can find above.

If we are still under the school, let's open up this grid and see what we can find above.

The grid is quite high up, but with some pushes from the men, Erdathcath is able to push open the grid above the skeleton, and finds out it leads to the stinking lavatory on the first floor of the East Wing. There's now no doubt where the stench originated from.

"Anyone up there, Erdathcath? Let's search the corpse's bag. Perhaps it will give a clue to the identity of this poor soul."

All I know is it smells bad up there. Let's check out this poor creature first.

"Anyone up there, Erdathcath? Let's search the corpse's bag. Perhaps it will give a clue to the identity of this poor soul."

The bag contains a diary with the name "Isabeau Carpenter" written on the cover. The diary contains long writings full of angst and despair. It is evident that Isabeau was bullied and tormented at the academy. And now she laid here in the sewers, dumped and forgotten.

An agonized scream rings throughout the building. It seems to come from above.

OOC: Sandy, you did not specify what direction we are heading.

The tunnel runs two ways, so the party can only choose to head more to the left or back to the right.

(Sorry for not being present during these exciting moments)

"Poor Isabeau! I hope we will be able to find out who or what killed her. I think we should head back and try the right way."

Nur looked past poor Isabeau to the path beckoning him as the party turned back. The heroes had a job to do, exploration would have to wait.

OOC: I first want to know what direction we are going. oh here are some (I think) more accurate maps:

bottom floor:

upper floor:

We heard the murmurs under the Auditorium, so we need to get there. if you think so, I suppose we can follow the scream first, thought if we do that, the vandals may escape. We checked all up there, the only others are those boys. By now I think it is obvious that the vandals have come through the sewers.

OOC: Without us knowing the order of where the lavatory is, we can't know where we are. some where under the east hallway though.

"We going south! If we at lavatory, we south of secret passage! we need go North!"

Alf explains his plan: "Alf think that the party need to go to right, past stairs, until reach under auditorium. Alf check for traps along way with magnifying glass. Group must very silent not alarm the vandals. If they wolf gang, Maybe Nur go and talk them. we may get in scuffle. What you think of plan?"

Posted

"Yes Alf, the directions was solvable with some simple logic. Since the staircase we descended on was a spiral staircase we should have moved much in any direction except downwards, therefore landing in the sewers approximately right beneath the Library. If then left took us beneath the East wing, aka. south , then right should take us north, towards the Auditorium."

"We put moon things together after we beat these meanies!"

OOC: Is everybody, with 3001/# have something wrong with their profile, or what? It's all ways different colored bricks. Why is this happening?

Posted (edited)

"I suspect there a wall up on right, then turn to left, west. I think Nur look around very carefully slowly, If Wolfgang, we probably can trap them. Though I not sure If Nur want betray."

OOC: And yes, Alf will watch for Traps all the way to our next place.

The party decides to turn around and leave the corpse of Isabeau to rot in peace. They walk past the staircase that they came down, and into the darkness of the sewers. A foul smell fills their nostrils - one far worse than the stench of a dead body. As they walk on, it only gets more excruciatingly horrible.

Does the party wish to continue, or turn back?
