Scubacarrot Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Hi all! Ive had this idea for a while now, a middle eastern/arabian in the middle ages themed town, or at least a street/some buildings in Lego. I made this build in LDD: In the coming time I will be ordering parts from bricklink and start building, please tell me what you think - Scubacarrot Quote
papercla Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I think it's a wonderful project with many interesting ideas. I like very much the effect of the tile of different colors and non aligned. Quote
The Undo Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Wow, this is very beautiful. I love it! Do you plan on expanding this? Quote
Kerntechniker Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Great, really great. I'm looking forward to see pics from the building and construction period. Was there a special source of inspiration for your creation? My first thought was a market place in an city of the holy land. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) Thanks very much for the responses =)) Do you plan on expanding this? I think Im first going to start building what I designed now, and then maybe design some more, I have an idea in my head for a fortress of some kind in the middle of the city, but Ill start out with this Was there a special source of inspiration for your creation? Well I had the idea in my head, and I looked for some pictures of Damascus online, so I stole a few ideas from there. Also I made myself some desert warriors minifigs, so they needed a place to call their home as well I guess haha. Edited October 19, 2011 by Scubacarrot Quote

TheLegoDr Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I like the color usage of the stonework. The fountain is lovely as well. This will be neat to see brick built. I may have to "copy" some of this idea for a village of my own. Quote
