"Oh my aching joints. Well, well, heroes, I..." the werehound notices the dead bodies of the werewolf thugs laying on the doorstep of the shop. "Oh my, those are the brutes that were always coming round here with that protection racket of theirs. Serves 'em right. Gentlemen I am in your debt for putting a stop to those hoodlums. My name is Dillian and this is my son Gillian and my grandson Rillian." Rillian reaches over and whispers in his grandfather's ear. "Oh, sorry you had to witness my er... illness, but you know how old age and too many knocks on the head goes, right? My grandson here tells me you're after the boy from the Guild of Invision. He stopped in here about a week back when my son was off trading on the mainland. I gave him his Gnomish Fractionation Columns just as the Guild had ordered them and sent him on his way. Something the matter with him? Is he in some sort of trouble?" What will the Party do? Edited November 1, 2011 by Waterbrick Down
soccerkid6 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 He is missing, and we are supposed to find him. Turning to the party I comment Well I guess we don't need to get those columns anymore because the doctor said to get the stuff only if we found that Julian had not got it. So to the fish market or the last shop? Unless someone wants to buy something here first.
CMP Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 "Ah....might as well see what the last shop has, so if anyone wants something from there, they can borrow the money. Anyone up for it?"
Rumble Strike Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 "Hold up Atramor, I would like to upgrade Kyrferath before we depart." Tarn goes to the glass blowers and carefully presents the battle axe that had been one of the Porthiar's prized possessions, which had later been elemental gem-enfused by Anwyl the Blacksmith. "Please take care with this weapon, it is very precious to me", he almost whispers. Tarn also hands across 50 gold, leaving him with 19.
soccerkid6 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm fine with going to the last shop, then we can go to the fish market if any of us need loans. It is actually probably a good idea to go to the last shop first, that way everyone can see what all the shops have to offer.

CMP Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Atramor leads the party to Mandrel's Curiousities.
Rumble Strike Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Tarn equips the hollow blade axe with a Mead, smiling as he does so. "Potions, no... what I need is even more strength in battle..." he murmured. Turning to his companions, he spoke up. "I am happy to go back to Gurnam as Sir Glorfindel requested. I believe he wants to go see the loan shark. But after that we must hasten to our final destination, Mandrel's Curiosity Shop."
soccerkid6 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I do, but we decided it would be easier to head to the curiosities shop first, that way if the rangers want something there when we go to Gurnam's the can get loans to if they want.
Rumble Strike Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 "That sounds like a good plan of action!" Tarn said. He didn't feel the group were as tight-knit as his friends in Quest#5, but it had been partly the gloom of the cave and the horror of the undead that had brought the adventurers together. This quest was different, however with several battles successfully fought and some puzzles and encounters navigated with distinction he thought things were going pretty well.
Jedi master Brick Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I agree, let's get going to the shop.
Waterbrick Down Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 The Party proceeds to the last shop on the list, owned by one, Mandrel Two Toes. "Come in, come in. Welcome to Mandrel's shop of curious items. Please sit down. Would you like Mandrel to read your fortune perhaps? Or maybe you have heard of Mandrel's home brewed potions? What shall Mandrel get for you, well armed sirs?" The orc hops back and forth from one foot to the other with his hands clenched behind his back. Jedi master Brick Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 "sir, we are sent by the guild of invision. Could we get 1 frost ruby of Helvetia to put on their tab. Also have you seen one of their assistants, Jullian. He went missing a week ago.
soccerkid6 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 As Elgar talks to the shopkeeper, I take a look around the place. Hmm interesting potions, might be useful for the rangers in our group. Pretty cheap too.
Jedi master Brick Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Elgar looks round and then his eyes settle on the Orc venom. He stated that he would like to buy 2 Orc venom for 14 gold leaving him with 18 gold
Rumble Strike Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Tarn looked around the shop, content to let Elgar question the Orc shopkeeper.
CMP Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Atramor snatches up 5 Orc Potions for 15 gold. "Yeah, we need the Frost Ruby of Helvetia, and we're also looking for a kid, blue tunic, brown hair, name of Julian, from the Guild of Invision. Anyone like that?" McCafferey sniffs disdainfully at the smell of orc.
Waterbrick Down Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 The orc hands the purchased supplies to the party. "Ah yes, Julian visited Mandrel's shop one week ago, he is one of Mandrel's favoritest customers. Mandrel never seen him so excited. He came in here and told Mandrel Two Toes all about it. However, he did not mention the Snow Ruby of Helvetia, I'd of been glad to give it to him too. That pesky ruby has a way of sneaking about this whole shop with no one ever touchig it. One day it's here on Mandrel's counter, the next it's at the bottom of the bone barrel. If you can find it, Mandrel says you can take it." Waterbrick Down Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) "Oh, Julian keeps on saving up money to buy a hat from Mandrel. Julian tried to buy hat earlier with Guild credit, but Mandrel Two Toes saw through him. But, who can blame a boy for what he fancies, eh?" Edited November 3, 2011 by Waterbrick Down
soccerkid6 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) Did he mention anything about where he was going next? If not, did you happen to see which way he went when he left? And where should we start to look for the ruby? Edited November 3, 2011 by soccerkid6
Waterbrick Down Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 "Mandrel Two Toes' is afraid not, Julian bought his hat and flew right out the door. As to the ruby, your guess is as good as Mandrel's, for all Mandrel knows, it could be behind his left ear today! You'll just have to look around, just don't break any of Mandrel's collectables."
CMP Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 "Another wild goose chase...nobody touch that plant, though." Atramor wanders around the room, and ultimately decides to check behind Mandrel's left ear and the potion shelf.
