Rumble Strike Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 "Thanks for the Grand Potion, Atramor, and the gold. Seems you've fallen in to being a pretty stout and fairminded Party Leader without even realising it!" Tarn said, smiling. But seconds later he looked on in shock at the Mimics. He'd been just about to search the tub! That could've been embarrassing. "I agree with our Party Leader, make sure we all attack one creature each." Tarn went for the Tub Mimic he'd wanted to search before, from the front row.

CMP Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I will shoot the rat from the back row. Let us duel in this cramped little cave! "Like I said, everybody target one creature. Glorfindel already has the rat."
Waterbrick Down Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) QM Note: Remember, if you decide to change your original action in a battle (i.e. your target for example), I would greatly appreciate it if you did so by just adding another post instead of editting your original one, though your clarification volcanicpanik helped me spot it. Thanks. Edited October 27, 2011 by Waterbrick Down
Jedi master Brick Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I would like to attack the crate mimic from the back row
Waterbrick Down Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Results of Round One of the Battle for the Book: >Tarn Valco vs. Tub Mimic - Hit >Elgar Gligin vs. Crate Mimic - Aim >William Harkenshire vs. Bat - Shield >Atramor Gibbin vs. Chest Mimic - Hit >Sir Glorfindel vs. Rat - Critical Hit Tarn anxious to bury his axe in the deceptive tub, fells the creature in one blow. Elgar draws an arrow from his quiver, but is only able to take aim at the rushing crate mimic, and thus his shot only chips off a piece of the monster's rough exterior. William, eager to improve from his last battle, boldly nocks and fires off three shafts in quick sucession striking Elgar's crate, the bat, and the chest mimic. Atramor, swinging his chain expertly, deals the death blow to the sneaky chest mimic, snapping it's lid completly off, in essence breaking it's jaw and killing it. Sir Glorfindel slashes at the small rat neatly severing it in two. Two enemies remain, the battle continues. Jedi master Brick Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Good work fellows I shall attack the crate from the back row
Rumble Strike Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Tarn allowed himself a small smirk of pleasure as he cleaved the Tub Mimic in two. Looking around, he saw that his companions had largely taken care of their opposition. Steeling himself once again in the manner that Rystael had taught him, he looked at the Crate Mimic which he will attack from the front row.
soccerkid6 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Ahh, that's better. I shall attack the bat from the back row
CMP Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 >Tarn Valco >Elgar Gligin >William Harkenshire >Atramor Gibbin >Sir Glorfindel Atramor pulls back the chain whip and swings it again, aiming for the Bat from the front row.

Elgar however, levels his bow at the crate and sinks a shaft deep into its side killing it. William now on a roll lets fly an arrow at the remaining bat pinning it expertly to the sealed doors of the Catacombs ending its short and annoying life. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! CMP Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 (edited) "Great job everyone, yes, 3 gold apiece to all of us, and I suppose I'll take the book." Atramor searches the scrolls, McCafferey sneezing due to the dust. "Alright, let's head out." Edited October 28, 2011 by CallMePieOrDie
Jedi master Brick Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Elgar looked round and agreed to leave. He used to be a forest man and he now was in a bustling city, not the quiet tree village that had been destroyed. The shop was full of tatty books and he could not to wait this dust, dark and dingy room

CMP Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Atramor shrugs, and hands the Spell of Sleep to Tarn. "Eh. I hear you're gonna be a Shaman anyway, and the rest of us won't be able to use it anyway." His eyes then light up at the Glass Dagger. Almost unquestioningly, he hands over 65 coins for it, and quickly slips his Potion into the hilt. "I don't suppose I could use this Writ of Blacksmith's service?" he asks, though unsure due to these...guys being glassblowers. "Also, we're looking for a pair of...uh, Gnomish Fractionation Columns, as well as a short kid in a blue tunic with brown hair, from the Guild of Invision. Julian, I think. He come by lately?"
Waterbrick Down Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 (edited) "Ah a glass dagger, made it myself, here you are," the werehound hands Atramor the weapon. "Sorry, that Writ of Service is only good at a Blacksmith's shop. I've got some Gnomish Fractionation Columns on hand," the werehound looks quizically at the Party. "You chaps into medicine? Anyways as to this boy, I've been gone on a trading trip in Ennon and just returned. I suggest you talk to my father over there blowin' on the glass, he might have seen him. Oh and take care, he can sometimes be a bit senile." soccerkid6 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Walking over to his father, I lean over and say a little bit louder than normal. Have you seen a short kid with brown hair wearing a blue tunic that was sent by the Guild of Invision any time in the past week?
CMP Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Atramor equips the dagger, and looked for the old-looking...hairy...thingy. "Hey, you seen a short guy in a blue tunic, with lots of brown hair, by the name of Julian, working for the Guild of Invision?" he asked, for what seemed like the millionth time.
Rumble Strike Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Tarn was a bit taken aback at being given the scroll. He had not spoken aloud about his teachings from Rystael and his wish to one day gain the knowledge of the way of the cleric, to become a true warrior-priest. He took the scroll anyway and thanks Atramor. He then looked with interest at the glass-blowers weaponry, sad to see that none of it was suitable for a Barbarian. He was fascinated by the process though, and watched the artisans at work with almost a childlike glee.
