marcosbessa Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Finally, after so long without creating a MOC, here I am again to show you guys what I came up with lately! :) It's the Alvis TA 28, a fictitious model inspired by the vintage cars produced by the british company Alvis, after the World War II. I call your attention to the fact that it has a functional steering wheel, real lights in the front and in the back and functional doors and seats. :) More pictures (31 in total) on my Flickr account, here. Hope you guys like it! It was really fun to build! See ya! :) Quote
-zenn Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I just have to say one thing; wow! I'm impressed by the sleek design and all the functions, really top notch work! Quote
LegoSjaak Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 The skills of the MOCs nowadays is sometime ridiculously high.... It is a wonderful automobile!! Quote
Konajra Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 That is one hell of good Moc. Superb build. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 This is a LEGO masterpiece! Perfect realization ...beautiful black suit and lights system! Quote
fluffybunny Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 it looks like this is in the same scale as the new VW bus, I love the detail that is able to be done in that scale, this is such a great model of a great era of cars. Love all the added functions in it as well. Did you use the lego lights? or the LifeLites? Quote
marcosbessa Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 (...) Did you use the lego lights? or the LifeLites? LEGO oficial lights. 4 sets of them. Thank you guys for all the nice words! :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Mind blowing AWESOME Model Team design 'marcosbessa' (I think this should have been in the model team forum {Technic}). Beautiful detailing - I can see Bentley and a handful of other late 20's/early 30's inspiration in this creation. Brick On Drive On 'marcosbessa' ! Quote
HighFlyer Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 One of the best car MOCs I have ever seen. Truly a work of art. Stunning work Quote
marcosbessa Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 (...) I think this should have been in the model team forum {Technic} (...) Actually I was in doubt at first... should I ask someone to move it? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Actually I was in doubt at first... should I ask someone to move it? Well, that's up to you really, it is an AWESOME creation...though it's not really minifig/town scale is it ? (yet, again it could be miniland scale ) Quote
marcosbessa Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 Well, that's up to you really, it is an AWESOME creation...though it's not really minifig/town scale is it ? (yet, again it could be miniland scale ) I want it to be wherever it fits better... can please someone move it to Model Team then? Quote
Rufus Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I want it to be wherever it fits better... can please someone move it to Model Team then? I'd like to move it to Special - where the Sculptures and Exclusives go (and where the Camper is) - but it would certainly fit into Model Team. It's awesome! ... and frontpaged Quote
timslegos Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Wow this MOC is fantastic! It has perfect curves and perfect lights. 11 out of 10!!! i hope to see more from you! tim Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) I'm totally flabbergasted with this model! BTW why don't we try to "Lego Cuscoo" this magnificent built! Edited October 20, 2011 by JunkstyleGio Quote
Legorski Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'm not one to know much about Lego car models... But this MOC is just too sexy for words... Amazing Job! Legorski, Quote
L@go Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 BTW why don't we try to "Lego Cuscoo" this magnificent built! Unless I'm very much mistaken, Mr. Bessa is a professional Lego designer, employed by Lego, working at the Lego offices in Billund... so the chances for something like this to be produced are probably much higher than the chances of anything getting 10,000 votes on CUUSOO in the foreseeable future :) Quote
CarsonBrick Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 This is so great! I love how you added steering and lights! Quote
Ceroknight Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Looks fantastic! It always excites me to see a new car MOC Edited October 21, 2011 by ceroknight Quote

McBuddha Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Hi Marco Bessa! I´m eagerly awaiting a creation like this from you released by TLG. Hope you´re having fun in Billund and that the climate is ok for you. :D Still hoping for Milou to be released as an official set. ;) This car is one of my absolute favourites. Maybe I could ask you to design a front cover for a CD one day?! :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Congrats 'marcosbessa' on being front paged.....like I said before an AWESOME creation you have built ! Quote
andibandit Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 My eyes are looking at the pictures, but my brain refuses to believe what my eyes are reporting. It's joy and sadness at the same time. It's a joy to look at, yet it makes me sad that i can never accomplish this. Quote
DrWeevil Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 That is an amazingly beautiful sculpture. If it were a purchasable set I'd buy it in a heartbeat. At retail. Congratulations on such an awesome build! Quote
