When the new 10223 Kingdoms Joust set comes out, I think the green princess is ideally suited for an Elf princess. I want a blond hair piece to match my CMF elves. What's my best choice?

Personally, I'd go for the same hairpiece - braided long hair - but in blonde (bright light yellow on Bricklink). It comes in the Winter Village Bakery set.

K-nut's suggestion of the Malfoy hair is good :sweet:

Lego did make the braided hairpeice in blonde. Thanks! I think I found the winner.

Just before you go out and get it, it is a little more yellow than the regular Elf hair, but it still works.

I think Princess Tamina's hair from the Prince Of Persia line could work, but I think Lego will release a female elf (with ears) in a future Minifigures Series anyway.

But, that's going to be quite a ways away. We have series 7 & 8 and no sign of female elf. The joust set comes out in 3 months. But, I do think he's going with Taminas hair, only in blonde, as suggested earlier. I agree with you on that hairpiece.

I'd suggest waiting until CMF series 6 pops up and give her the long wavy bright yellow hair of the space lady (pink suit ftw!). It's perfect to inspire a sense of nobility. At least for my taste ^^. I really wished TLC had given series 5's gymnast that hair in either reddish or dark brown for a little variation T___T.

I personally would stick with the standard elf hair from series 3. To my eyes it's mostly unisex anyway, and to indicate "elveness" there just HAS to be a pointy pair of ears anywhere ^^.

Be well all!

Good thread! As someone who is also eagerly waiting for the elven princess I have give it a thought, too. Here's my idea:

In my opinion, not all elves need to be blond. I own about 50 elves and it looks a bit dull when they all have the same hair colour.

The colour of Elisabet Swanns hairpiece is some half tone between blond and red, as the regular elf hair is not bright blond either, so they go well together in their "flax"-look.

Also I think the reddish tone will complement the green dress of the elven princess, as green and red are complementary colours.

I thought this would make a good female elf hair, but in tan/blonde. Along the lines of Galadrial (sp?) (Cate Blanchett) in LOTR.

It would be nice if an official female elf hair (with the ears) came out with one of the CMFs or something. As currently they have close cropped hair in my collection :sceptic:

Series 6 & 7, you mean? Afaik we don't know much about Series 8 yet except that it will probably be released sometime around August/September 2012. Though if the LotR/Hobbit theme does indeed happen, I suspect the CMF series will thereafter have a dearth of elves and such fantasy figures.

I thought this would make a good female elf hair, but in tan/blonde.

I too hope they release Ginny's hair in some other colour except orange, it's a nice hair piece (though a bit too cute in my opinion for an elven princess).
