Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Yes, I forgot about this." Tesni took the hat from her bag, "Is this your hat? Or are we to locate another?" Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "I say we explore the areas we haven't been to yet before we go to the orc's camp." Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Tesni held up the Map. "The Bow must mean where we faced the archer, this by the entrance was those foolish Twins, the Axe is probably our fight with the warrior and the rouge. The bushes are the ants? The Rock might mean the Mage. As point 1 is closest to us we should go there first. See what is around, then maybe to point 2. Three is central so might be their camp but 4 being furthest away also points to a good hiding place." Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Hoke looks at the map with Tesni. "I agree. Let's start with point 1 and work up to 4." Quote
Jebediahs Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 "Oh, thank you! I can't believe I forgot all about my favorite hat. All the excitement from this adventure made me forget. My friends back home are going to be so so so jealous." Oliveri dons his favorite hat while the party looks to him expectantly. "Ah, that's better. I feel great!...what? Didn't I give you that quiver already. The young gnome digs in his pocket and removes an opal. "Here's a flawed gem my pops discarded. The opal functions like any other but my dad only uses perfect gemstones for his creations." Party Leader, who will receive this item? Opal – Enables ice-elemental spells. Our heroes walk to the closest unexplored area. Ameli is noticeably avoiding Haldor as she is walking as far away from the cleric as possible. The party reach their destination and discover two potions and two phoenix essences Szalinski shrunk down with the Microfigunator 7268. The gnomish inventor spared no expense when it came to the rescue of his children. Party Leader, how will these items be divided? 2x Phoenix Essence – Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle. 2x Potion - Restores 10 health to the target. Quote
Sandy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Ellaria claps her hands together in joy. "Finally, some treasures! I wouldn't mind having a potion, since I'm all out myself..." Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "I don't care to much if I get anything Tensi. Though I will take the gem if no one else wants it. Well let's move onto point number two shall we?" Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Yes Ellaria, you can have a potion, who else is short of a potion? I want to take a Phoenix Essence. Now I am trying to figure out the best way to share out valuable items..." Tesni looked at the map again. "To point 2 now" Quote
Scorpiox Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Maybe Ellaria should have the gem. May I have the other potion Tesni? Onwards to point 2! Hey Ameli, what's wrong?" Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Sure Haldor, you can have a potion." Quote
Sandy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Thanks for the potion, Tess! I think you should keep the Phoenix Essence, since you gave yours to me. And Alexis can keep the gem on my behalf. I believe she has plans to advance into the realm of magical combat once she hits the appropriate level." Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Of course, oh and Hoke, you can have first pick of the next lot of loot. To point 2!" Quote

Sandy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Oh, you poor... creepy... huge... bug-thingy... I will attempt to heal the wounded ant. Alexis, could you try to communicate with it to learn what hurt it?" Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Smiling Alexis leans over to speak to the ant, "Can we help you in any way? And do you know what hurt you?" Quote
Jebediahs Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) Alexis communicates with the creepy huge bug-thingy. Translated: "Thank you for expending your ether on me. I feel better but am too weak to stand. What strange looking creatures you are. Do not be alarmed. I couldn't hurt you if I wanted to. My name is Antia. I'm just a bit tired. I was minding my own business when a massive scorpion attacked me for no reason. I barely escaped with my life." The ant coughs before continuing. "I'm in poor condition right now but my strength will return if you bring me a sugary treat. Perhaps I could even return the favor sometime." The ant lies on the ground and falls asleep. What will the party do? Edited November 17, 2011 by Jebediahs Quote
Sandy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Uh-oh, that must be the Mama Scorpion that Antia was talking about. She cannot be pleased that we slew her younglings, after all... I don't think we have found a sugary treat yet, so I suggest we search for something like that. Since the baby scorpions were near location 3, I'd suggest we skip to location 4 first. Let's move on!" Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Yes, 4 might also be home to the Orcs and we want to fight them for the child, I am sure the others will not mind if we backtrack later." Tesni inclined her head to the Ant. "Antia we will seek out a sugary treat and if we find one will return. Alexis please let the ant know that." Quote
Scorpiox Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Onwards! To the orca and to a sugary treat! Ameli? Sure you don't want to talk to me? I can help." Quote
Sandy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Ameli? Sure you don't want to talk to me? I can help." Ellaria nudges her fellow cleric with her elbow. "I think you've done enough, Haldor. Apparently the girl just wasn't satisfied with what she got... I know my first time certainly was far from what I had anticipated it to be, but of course the situation was totally different. It wasn't... my choice... But enough about that, let's just head onwards! Kids, we'll return you and your little brother to your father in no time!" Quote
Jebediahs Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) OOC: Oh no, Ellaria! :( Alexis relays her leader's words of encouragement to the ant but is unsure if Antia heard the message over her snoring. The party leaves point 2 and proceeds to go to point 4, hoping to find the orc camp and free the remaining Szalinski youngin' quickly. Ameli seems to be returning to her old self as she moves closer to Haldor. Who knows what was up her butt! "Ameli Skovgaard...mmmhm. I like the sound of that. How many children should we have? Do you even have a place to live? I want to live in a home built in the Derfelcadarn style either here or in lovely Avalonia. Wherever that is. I just heard it was nice. Do you think father should know about us right away? Well duh, of course he should since we're getting married once we're out of here. You do want to marry me, don't you? I can't wait to see Heroica Hall! You know my little brother here wants to be a hero like you. You're such a good role model for him, Haldor. You're going to be the perfect father one day." The party continues and reaches the area where they faced the elf-hating ranger. Signs of battle could still be seen in the dirt with multiple tracks and a scorch mark where Ignis Fatuus lit the ranger's hound alight. The surrounding trees/grassblades were bent and broken from Haldor's chase of the orc through the brush. Our heroes approach an intersection when Oliveri notices something. "Hey, what's that?!" Before anyone can react, the adventurous gnomish youth runs down the path towards point 3! Will the party follow the gnomish youth or continue with their plan to reach point 4 and leave the boy to his fate? Edited November 17, 2011 by Jebediahs Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "I think we should follow him, we do not want to lose two children." Tesni started to follow after the boy. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Hand on Vintul's hilt, Hoke cautiously heads after the boy gnome. Quote
Jebediahs Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 The heroes chase after the boy and come across an enormous blue brick. Lying next to it is a gigantic oatmeal cookie pie. Hoke walks around the cookie pie and discovers three tonics and two potions. Upon closer inspection, Oliveri finds a nostrum. The party decides to take ten pieces from the seemingly unending supply of oatmeal cookie pie. - "Nice. Thanks dad." Party Leader, how will these items be divided? 10x Piece of Oatmeal Cookie Pie (quest item) – Restores target NPC to GOOD condition. Expires upon quest completion. 3x Tonic - Restores 5 ether to the target. Nostrum - Causes the lucky-effect, allowing the target to roll the battle die twice and get the better result of the two for the duration of one battle. 2x Potion - Restores 10 health to the target. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 "I guess we are going back to the ant," Hoke says with a wide grin. Hoke motions the others over to check out the find. He wonders what else could be lying around. Hoke uses his shovel. Quote
