Tesni attempts to take out multpile targets in one shot by destroying the mage. Her blade seems to connect with the wizard but the orc crumbles once again and reforms in another location, unharmed. Spotting an opening in the rogue's defense, Tesni attacks her for massive damage (88) dropping the orc to her knees. Alexis's lightning charged arrows are extra effective against the artillery cart as a wheel falls off (60). The ranger nocks three arrows and takes aim at one of the goblins before firing. She hits each target following the enemy battle order from the demolitionist; the demolitionist (22), the artillery cart (44), and the orc archer (22). The artillery cart is disabled while Alexis's other two targets are poisoned. Hoke struggles to connect his blade with his nimble target so strikes out with his boot, sending the engineer rolling (19). Haldor swings and hits the ranger with his rod (19). Ellaria once again showing no hesisitation in harming poor defenseless animals, quickly strikes at the Maa'ri puppy with her despicable fire staff (42). Seeing the large barbarian stand over his companion about to give a final blow, the orc warrior charges Tesni from behind and hits her with his shield (-5). The blow knocks poor Tesni into the waiting arms of the mage's stone golem (-2). The demolitionist and the ranger each take one point of damage from the poison.

Our heroes aren't messing around.

It's leader versus leader as Tesni charges the orc warrior. But true to their nature, the orcs don't play fair. The old mage takes the opportunity to blast the barbarian in the back (-7) with the resulting shrapnel showering everyone in the front row (-2). The spell enrages the woman as she raises Cysgodion and blows through the warrior's shield. The orc's heavy armor isn't thick enough to protect him from the encouraged barbarian's attack as he's KO'D (142). OMG! Everyone on the field of battle pauses with mouths agape as the proud warrior collapses under the berzerker's impressive strike. Instead of fleeing like the lesser members of their kin, the orc party rallies around their fallen leader. The goblin explosives expert throws some dynamite damaging everyone (-5). The treacherous rogue evades Alexis's arrows to get in close to knee her in the ribs (-3). Hoke decides it's best to prepare to defend his teammates the next round by assuming the sentinel position. The orc archer smirks as he lets his arrows fly. The first finds Tesni (-5) which knocks her out due to the previous attacks she received. The next two arrows follow the battle order hitting Alexis twice for double damage. Because the orc's special ignores row position and he does double damage versus elves, Alexis feels the full brunt of his assault and is ko'd (-20). Again the sight of a fallen friend triggers the healing energies within Ellaria and she restores the conscious members' health to full. Ablesword ignores the pounding of the stone golem as he stares blankly at his companions lying on the ground. The demolitionist and ranger take one point of damage from Alexis's poison.

A bittersweet round for both sides as each team takes a moment to regroup.

Ellaria gasped as she saw the two other females in the party get knocked out. Hoke rushed to Tesni's aid, so Ellaria decided to use her Phoenix Essence on Alexis, while standing in the back row. They were protected by Hoke's Sentinel-ability, so this would be the perfect time to recover. After all, they could not possibly win without their two strongest team members.

OOC - do revived characters get to act that round?

OoC: No, the characters will take the turn to recover. After checking from earlier cases, they do get to act. Sorry for the confusion.

It had been a mighty hit, the berserker rage flowed freely, mingling with the purple darkness energies of Cysgodion and the aids she had drunk before battle. That was why the other attacks had caught her unawares. The darkness of a KO came again but she soon heard the sounds of her friends once again. Getting unsteadily to her feet and checking around, Tesni noticed that Alexis too had been knocked out but Hoke was ready with his shield, and empty Pheonix Essence close by. "Thanks for that." Ellaria was tending to Alexis and with the four of them using their battle turns up Haldor was the only one left. "Do you wish to do anything Haldor? Hoke is ready with his shield and we are all full health, we can wait it out and be ready for the next round of battle."

The rejuvinating energies of the pheonix essence did their job, but the moments blackness had halted the effects of her mead and gumbo. Brushing the dust from her arms and shaking it from her hair, Tesni sighted the enemy once more. "Someone take out the rogue, we have Hoke's sheild blocking free hits, so focusing on some of the more bothersome fighters would work out best. Alexis, you take two targets, I will once again go for the Mage from the front row."

Round three is dedicated to recovering. Hoke Ablesword and Ellaria Arbour tend to their unconscious friends with vials of phoenix essences. Tesni recovers first and notices the mage creeping within range and preparing to cast a spell. She hops to her feet, sprints towards him and takes a swing. The mage evades in his signature rock pile technique but the barbarian was successful in interrupting whatever devastating spell the old orc was about to unleash. Haldor receives a miracle and heals the entire party even though they're all at full health. Alexis fires off a few arrows and hits targets in the enemy battle order starting from her primary target. She hits the demolitionist (22), ranger (22) and hound (22) preventing the enemy from taking a proper respite. The engineer rushes to his artillery cart to make some modifications. The orc archer, hound and stone golem buy the goblin some time by keeping Hoke, Ellaria and Tesni busy. Hoke blocks all incoming damage with his sentinel ability. The ranger and demolitionist take an extra point of damage from the poison of Alexis's earlier attack.

Ellaria targets the Maa'ri Hound from the back row, since her elemental weapon will cause double damage to it anyway.

Lesser Stone Golem vs. Alexis Fenral - Free Hit

Alexis bullies the small goblin explosives expert by hitting him again with an arrow (22). His brother rejoices as he gets the artillery cart operational again. Unfortunately his efforts are wasted as the barbarian female rages against the orc party. She swiftly focuses on her primary target. Not wanting him to teleport again, Tesni doesn't even take the instant to raise her blade and instead chooses to lower her shoulder and tackle the mage. With Cysgodion's dark aura surrounding her, Tesni inflicts double damage to the mage but since he's standing in the back row, he receives normal damage (22). She continues her assault on the orcs by slicing a chunk from the stone golem (22) before charging the rogue. Failing to learn from her leader's mistake, the orc rogue attempts to parry the woman's strike with her daggers. Cysgodion knocks the daggers to the ground and Tesni pounds the disarmed rogue until she no longer moves (44). Continuing down the enemy battle order, Tesni chases the twins and catches a goblin in each hand. She cracks their helmeted skulls together before tossing them aside (44 each). The ranger attempts to hide behind the recently repaired artillery cart but Tesni slices through it, destroying the cart before kicking the ranger (44). The orc's loyal hound lunges at the berserker who sticks out a single heavily muscled arm and catches the beast by the neck. She brings it close to her face as the hound writhes and gnashes his teeth. Tesni squeezes until the hound goes silent (22). She releases the limp dog as dark tendrils continue to swirl around her. The orc archer lies on the ground, barely clinging to consciousness. What the barbarian did do his dog was unforgiveable. Hoping to get his revenge, the orc weakly put an arrow to his bow. Before he could release his shot, Hoke calmly walks to the archer, kicks his bow aside and punches him in the face, knocking him out cold (19). Seeing so many of their comrades fall, the engineer and mage decide to target the clerics hoping to cut off the party's restorative power. The goblin throws a wrench at Haldor who is hit for 4 damage. The mage blasts Ellaria with an earth spell hitting her (4) and Alexis (1) for half damage. The demolitionist takes a point of damage from the poison and Alexis is hit for one damage from the stone golem.
