So, I haven't been active on eurobricks for at least 2 or 3 months, and I must say I've really missed this place default_thumbup.gif.

Last year you might remember I posted a lot of winter building MOC's. Well this year I've got a few more to post, some will be made on LDD and some in real bricks! (Its also been along time since I've even touched a lego brick default_look.gif)

Okay, the first building is a cottage.

Whats a village without a cottage for somebody to live.lddscreenshot2.png

The cottage has 3 floors. the first floor is where the kitchen, lounge area and fireplace are located. The second floor includes a bed and the 3rd floor has a desk.

There was one thing I didn't think about is putting some stairs up to the 3rd floor. (lets just pretend its an Attic and there's some imaginary pull down ladders default_snicker.gif )

I was going to add a few more pieces to the 2nd floor but it became over crowed and ruined the look slightly.

Outside you can see theres an area under the house where logs can be stored! I've seen that on so many houses in the winter so I decided to incorporate it into this MOC default_thumbup.gif

A closer look at the stairs

Thats all for now default_classic.gif another coming soon!

C & C welcome!

Very nicely done! I really like the fireplace and log storage area

Hi

I really love the winter village sets that LEGO makes and to me this is better. I love the shape of the building and all the unique details you have incorporated.

I also love the color choice. THe roof shape is great

Fantastic work

Charlie

I'd buy this set! I too like the colour scheme, and also that instead of having three submodels you've concentrated on the cottage.

Love the design for your lamp post and the trans-light blue plates for icicles.

This is an outstanding creation The Yellow Brick!

I like the wood chunks in the woodshed ...also the inner details are beutiful: the staircase with the red carpet  and that great room with the bed ...I just love this LDD MOC!

I hope to see this cottage soon in real lego! :sweet:

I might actually try to build this, if I do have enough bricks :look::thumbup:

I really hope you have enough bricks cause this will be an awesome model built and i would love to see it

Excellent LDD creation 'The Yellow Brick', I too hope you can build this....interesting flooring choices tiling top and bottom floors, but none on the middle floor.

Still I like it and fits the winter theme to a tee !

Brick On in the snow 'TYB' !

I could spend my Winterholiday in a cottage like that !!!

Lovely!

Very good LDD creation, especially considering the limited parts available using the app!

Did you get a price for the parts?

I really love this winter cottage.

Like someone else, I love the use of the 1x1 trans light blue round plates as icicles. I also love how you have cleverly used the space under the stairs for the outside wood storage.

What an outstanding MOC, I would actually buy this over the Winter Village sets as it can easily be adapted for regular 'non-winter' use. Wish I was creative and could do something like this.

Nice to see you back again. :classic:

That is amazing, I absolutely love it and I can't wait to see the others!

This looks really good, so very typical of wintery places, such as Switzerland.

I love the details, interior and exterior, and also the awesome lamppost

This would look brilliant in your city, if you were to make it in bricks.

I might actualy attempt to build this with real bricks if I get the time (Hopefully before christmas ) or If not probally somtime next year!

Oh if anyone wants to know the only building from last year that is still built is the train station, sadly all the others got destoryed.

P.S the next building is going to be pretty sweet - any guesses on what it might be

haha , maybe that could be a halloween building

Is it going to be a ski lodge or santa's work shop? with yoda as santa maybe? lol

Hope to see it soon

I just ran across this MOC - did you do this in LDD? And if so, is it possible to get the plans for it?? I would be interested in trying to order this on LDD for my wife who's taken a shine to Lego's winter sets. This MOC is superb!!

Really cool MOC. Just getting into these now and working with LDD. :)

I am also a major fan of the Winter Village sets!

This MOC of yours is terrific! You re right, the village needs a cottage (or two). in fact I may attempt it after I get a couple of other projects done.

Thanks for sharing this creation!

After seeing this MOC, TYB, I can not wait for snow or short winter days. I think this goes a step beyond what TLG puts out. It really feels like somewhere someone would WANT to live! Kudos,
