Who has white flags?! I sure don't...

Why can't it be simply north - east - south - west, with complementary colors depending on the faction within the region?

There has been 30 sets with white flags in them, and they are really cheap on Bricklink. Go get yourself some!

I like the idea of only having one colour though and using a second as faction indicator.

I'm not sure how far along the leaders are with planning the map/backstory and everything, but here's a map I drew up for the four factions:

6322334081_e7cb262ae5_z.jpg

And here's a brief backstory to go with it:

The morning began much like any other morning. Lords and Ladies from the three realms, North, West, and South sat outside the great hall and looked at the beautiful Treaty Lake while they waited for the Great King to arrive at his throne and open the hall. In the distance, they could see Dragon’s Peak spewing a steady stream of lava as usual. They couldn’t help but be amused that all the criminals they had banished to the Prison Isles now had to deal with a volcanic eruption as well as all the terrible monsters on the islands. Unlike most days however, 9 o’clock passed and the King was nowhere to be seen. He had been late to his throne before, but as the hours passed the nobles began to sense that something was amiss. Around noon the Great King’s most trusted advisor opened the doors to the Great Hall and announced that the Great King had been murdered.

Chaos ensued as the nobles began accusing each other’s realms of being behind the murder. Arguing quickly spiraled into full fledged fighting, and within minutes the once stable Kingdom had deteriorated into three separate realms at war.

A few days after the assassination, Dragon’s Peak finally had its giant eruption, forming an obsidian bridge from the main Prison Isle over to the main land. If it had happened a few days earlier than the guards posted at the towers along the east coast would have noticed the bridge and the Great King would have sent armies from the three realms to stop anyone from coming over the obsidian bridge. Unfortunately, the Great King was dead and the towers had been unmanned since the assassination, so none of the three Realms were aware of what might be coming…

And so began the Great War between the North, South, West, and East.

The idea of having a flag per Guild and then sub colour for faction is good.

I think the guild leaders can determine their guild colours.

Hello Im a little confused the divisions on north, east, west and south on the other thread what do they represent, I mean my collection is majority Kingdoms in wich I would fit in?

I ask this for purposes of building.

Thanks in advance for a response.

All factions can be used by all guilds, and each region includes a portion of a generic forested area, so it doesn't really matter. Choose based on the terrain you want to build. (for example, you probably shouldn't pick Northern Chill if you don't have any white bricks)

Oh well thank you, all clear now.

C'mon ISC, put me out of my misery already and reveal your grand scheme. I've been going on EB for every hour and waiting for an update. Such is life of a TFOL after they discover Eurobricks... :cry2:

...and its all green for go! Pledge your allegiance again to the guild you most desire.....

All of us, or only volcanicpanik? If you mean all of us: Northern Chill for me, please :sweet: .

Excellent descriptions of the various guilds! This is getting really awesome. The ideas behind it are great, and I'm glad to see it all worked out so good. The Avalonia guild sounds the most interesting to me, with its magical forests and such. I can't wait to get my hands on my collection this weekend again and create a suiting character. Great job, guys!

Sounds good, how about combining this with a big map where all factions and mocs can be situated. Like on of these LOTR-Maps or in Warhammer Campaigns. One could could go "Oh, today, let's see what happened at the border between Crownies and and Orks in the last 2 years." And then you all mocs that users have situated there would be marked by little X-ses. It an area of the map was underpopulated, contests could work towards vignettes or scenarios in that area. Someone would have to program this though.

I love this idea, all depends on someone having the time to do it and maintain it though. A lot of these guys are already giving considerable amounts of their time to us in keeping these forums fun and interesting.

It´s finally here! Very well done all of the Guild Leaders with the descriptions of the guilds.

I have some questions. Are Brickforge and Brickarms products authorised? Same with own custom flags?

I would say yes to Brickforge/Brickwarriors/Brickams products as our own avatars show we are using them.

As far as customizing figures, we have come to a consensus that the main army figures have to be purist. There is more leeway in your personal character sigfig but ISC would have final say on that.

Yay, these guilds look fantastic! I always get excited when cool new things happen in this forum.

I think the competitive approach is the right one to take, since we are all smart people here who know it's just for fun. I can't imagine a forum war bursting out of something creative like this.

Just a few questions, though:

~ Is it Guilds of Historia or Historica? Because I've seen both being used...

~ Shouldn't the guild topics have a list of all guildmembers and their leaders? Or are you waiting until everyone has posted their avatars?

I'm happy that I chose Kaliphlin, but in my opinion the region still needs a dash of mysticism. We can discuss this further in the guild topic, but I hope nobody is against adding genies and golems and mummies into the mix.

Yes, I would echo Siren's thought on that matter, I personally don't think brickforge products will be a problem. But I have seen the figs which you posted and they look most excellent. As for the custom flag, I assume you mean ones like you have posted in the guild thread, this looks great, and If you were to make it in the colours of the guild I don't see a reason why not. But like Siren's said, ISC will have the final say in these areas.

Just another note to everyone - everything at this point is still a work in progress - the descriptions that were put up are not set in stone - just our original takes on the area -

As the guild members start coming into the fold the guild will determine how each realm looks and feels by discussing it in their respective threads and ultimately in the mocs they build for the guild.

So please step forward with ideas! This world is as much yours as it is ours.

@ sandy (what an appropriate name!) Yes we definately need more magic - I had a few thoughts but would love to hear yours

Looks like a helluva project. Time, money and location constraints prevent me from taking part but I look forward to a lot of inspirational MOCs, maps, backstories, etc. Good luck to all involved, and may the best guild win!
