I disagree with this because it means people pay overpriced odds for something which costs less from the official site.

People just need to do their homework and not rely on ebay as the "only place to get what i want and always at a good price". The only time it's actually a problem is if they are advertising a Brickforge item AS a LEGO item not as a LEGO-compatible item. When that is the case, the auction needs to be reported to ebay through their system.
