Posted November 4, 201113 yr Readers of the Eurobricks Star Wars Forum Blog may have noticed the MOCs shown in the banner. These are what we're calling Showcased MOCs. At the end of each month, the Rebel Bloggers pick out a few MOCs from among those posted in that month, and they are showcased in the banner for the duration of the next month. (after a PM conversation asking the builder's permission to use their images and MOCs, of course) All new MOCs (not old MOCs reposted from another site) posted on Eurobricks during a month are eligible for selection as a Showcased MOC for the next month. MOCs must have been posted by the builder, not by another member (no flickr finds, Brickshelf finds, etc.), in order to be eligible for selection as a Showcased MOC. All eligible MOCs are automatically considered by the Rebel Bloggers. There are no limitations concerning the era or canonicity of an MOC in the Star Wars universe. Only one MOC may be showcased per builder per month. November 5, 201113 yr Thanks for taking the initiative to do this Doc! Ever since it's implementation last month I've found it to be a very refreshing aspect of the blog, seeing those wonderful MOCs featured as the blog banners which constantly change by the hour. I hope am sure this will encourage more high-quality builds in the coming months, not that we lack it as we've seen a steady influx of fantastic creations from our dedicated SW builders, but as they say the more the merrier! Keep up the good work with these banners Doc and to the MOCers who continually share their creations, great job and thank you! Just a minor question that I've always been curious about, how often does the banner change? Every hour? Half-hour? Every refresh of the page?
November 5, 201113 yr Author Just a minor question that I've always been curious about, how often does the banner change? Every hour? Half-hour? Every refresh of the page? Every refresh, but it's randomized, so there's no set sequence. You could refresh and end up with the same banner as before.
November 5, 201113 yr Ever since Doc e-mailed me about using my Trash Compactor moc, I thought this was a great idea! Nothing like the hope of having your build on the front page to get builders to really try their best.
November 7, 201113 yr I'm glad you feel that way, that was the exact feeling we wanted our contributors to get Thanks to all of you for letting us use your great work.
November 7, 201113 yr Thanks again for picking my wampa cave as a spotlighted MOC. This should give everyone incentive to build more Star Wars. I know it does for me!
November 30, 201113 yr Author The Showcased MOCs from November 2011, to be showcased throughout December 2011 are... TIE Advanced x1, by a new EB member, Eric W.; No Disintegrations!, by our History Moderator, I Scream Clone; And three MOCs from previously showcased builders: Jabba's Prize, by the expert of Star Wars dioramas and Community Build host, ACPin; LDD A-wing, by master LDD builder, Hollander; and Moodland-scale AT-RT, by the builder of multiple scales, Moodswim. Larger versions of all the banners can be seen on the blog's flickr.
December 1, 201113 yr Seeing the new MOCs in the banner, I can't help but think that Hollander's A-wing looks rather odd without a pilot in that shot.
December 1, 201113 yr Seeing the new MOCs in the banner, I can't help but think that Hollander's A-wing looks rather odd without a pilot in that shot. I could believe a customized unmanned remote controlled A-Wing fighter (like real-life UAV drones) but never a Gunship without pilots.
December 1, 201113 yr Seeing the new MOCs in the banner, I can't help but think that Hollander's A-wing looks rather odd without a pilot in that shot. My thought. Although I can't change the showcased model anymore, I can change the current file. I think a minifigure pilot would look way to small however, and make this look even more odd. A brickbuilt pilot would be a solution, but that would be really hard to create if you ask me. Too hard actually, especially in LDD. Maybe we can M<0><0<DSWIM for a solution...?
January 1, 201213 yr Author To start off the New Year, the MOCs from December 2011 to be showcased throughout January 2012 are: Republic Cruiser, the only physical build, by UCS master Anio; Arena Beasts, an excellent display of prowess in brick-built LDD animals by filospinato; LDD Khetanna, a seven-thousand-piece model, by one of EB's best LDD builders, Gunner; and LDD 2011 Star Wars Advent Calendar, by myself. Larger versions of the banners can be seen on the blog's flickr.
February 1, 201213 yr Author It's time again for Showcased MOCs! The picks from January 2012 are: LDD AAT, an incredible first Star Wars MOC from Bricksandparts; Octuptarra Magna Tri-Droid, also a first proper MOC, this from Iceman792, who promises to be one of our most talented builders; Midi-scale Victory-class Star Destroyer, another masterpiece from veteran builder and Legostein; Snow Scout and Speeder Bike, another venture into Moodland-scale by the master of multiple scales, Moodswim; and last, but certainly not least, Feeding Time, a compilation of simple techniques into a beautiful finished piece by wokajablocka.
March 1, 201213 yr Author The Showcased MOCs of February 2012 are here! Firstly, Naboo Starfighter Bay, an example of the modular Star Wars concept from ACPin Secondly, Battle Droids and STAP (Moodland-scale), an excellent piece of shaping and articulation by Moodswim And, finally, ANH Deleted Scene, a small shelf display by Praiter Yed that has an incredibly cute purist custom Treadwell droid and a beautifully detailed moisture vaporator. (I also think it's one of my best works in Photoshop )
May 11, 201212 yr Author It's a month and ten days late, but I finally got around to getting these up. Fully Chromed UCS Royal Naboo Starship, by Anio Episode VI Final Duel Diorama, by markus1984 Diversion, by Bayou Republic Hangar, by 501st Commando
May 11, 201212 yr I love these, while my only gripe is that with 501st Commando, the hanger was the star of the show, but you can't really see it in that pic. Although that would be hard to capture.
May 11, 201212 yr Author I love these, while my only gripe is that with 501st Commando, the hanger was the star of the show, but you can't really see it in that pic. Although that would be hard to capture. Yeah, I tried to show more of it, but the dimensions of the hangar made it impossible. This was the best shot in which you could get a good idea of some action.
May 11, 201212 yr Well, it took you a while, but at last you got them done, and they look good as always. Although I would have zoomed in on the Emperor in that second one so as to not cover his eyes with the title (and not have the Skywalkers' heads stick out from the bottom like that).

Although I would have zoomed in on the Emperor in that second one so as to not cover his eyes with the title (and not have the Skywalkers' heads stick out from the bottom like that). I was trying to capture the whole of the scene so it didn't just look like a throne room diorama. (it is entitled "Final Duel")
May 11, 201212 yr Hi, Thanks very, very much for picking up my photo/diorama for the wallpaper. a real honor for me! Greetings Markus Edited May 11, 201212 yr by markus1984
May 11, 201212 yr Author Hé, isn't my AT-SE missing for January? Oh, yes, it is. I had PMed you, and you didn't respond immediately, so your banned didn't go up until halfway through the month, after I'd indexed the banners, so I forgot to add it here. I'm in a rush right now; I'll get it up later today.
