I'm pretty new here, and I'm thinking about joining the Kaliphlin Guild - my question is, are there any pieces that are absolutly needed to join a guild, and are there some that will be vrey helpful, or do I not have to worry about that? Thanks

No parts are absolutely required, but each guild does have a general building style/location. Much of Kaliphlin is in the desert, but not all of it, so that is something to consider. You can join any guild and make it work. Kaliphlin is a great choice.

OK, Thanks. I don't think I'll have that much of a problem with a desert - actually seems to me easier than a forest!

KaiNRG, the only pieces you need for any guild are the ones you choose to represent your character's sigfig. Kaliphlin would be honoured to have you as a member :classic:

I killed off my first character via mocs/thread/story

Yup, mine too

...but, as every villain, she is gone right?

Ahaha I just remembered one episode from StarTrek Voyager, they are playing something in holodeck, have trouble, bla bla, at the end, they win taking care of the bad guy. And the game closes with "The End?"

In other words, you can do practically anything you want

My new character, for example, is going to rule the world. If she can not, she will burn it to the ground, if anything is left after the elemental mayhem (but I have with good authority that elementals will attack Drow cities also, so... we will see what will happen;)

In short, let your imagination go wild :)

If anybody has a problem with what you are building, you come to me, and we will squash their city, as an example <--- this goes only if you are not some good-doer, in that case, better stay out of drow lands (and all lands are Drow lands :)

Too bad the Drow can't make it to a battlefield without the sun frying them to a crisp.

You confused us with vampires ;) And our great minds invented perfect protection from sun - umbrellas ;)

So be afraid, be very afraid of a fashion strike from Drow with an umbrella - If you do not believe me, and watch "Resident Evil" and you will see that the world was destroyed with umbrella :P

:)

Btw, boys and girls, how are you progressing with challenge 4?

I'm doing great, I'm probably 80% done, and will finish up today or tomorrow :sweet:

I have some other stuff I want to build, but I wanted to make sure I got this done first

I'm not sure I quite understand it; Do you have to have a natural disaster scene and some sort of elemental monster? :sceptic:

You need to have an elemental monster and it has to be an action scene. Your elemental monster can be causing a natural disaster as part of the action scene.

OK, I see.

Other requirements are 48 x 48 size restriction and micro landscape. Hope you enter!

Well, I've never build a monster before, but I guess there is a first time for every thing. I'll give it a try. I do like building in micro scale, so that should be fun

My elemental is in the process of causing destruction and mayhem! Now to decide who gets to escape...

Mine hasn't started yet. I didn't have any time to build yet. But I will enter, maybe with something smaller!

I was intending to build a dragon for the elemental monster, but I'm in need of a few more 1x1's with studs on all sides, and I don't have enough money to order some, so I think I'll have to go with something more simple.

In challange four, can your build be any integer 48 or under of studs by any integer 48 or under of studs. (In other words, can my build be 16x32 studs?) Thanks

48 x 48 (with reasonable overhang) is the max size, so under 48 x 48 is completely allowed.

Also, the micro landscape does not need to be contianed within the 48 x 48 space but should not constitute a separate MOC.

Thanks. Didn't realise that but I've already built the landscape (in fact I'm almost compleatly done) so I'll just leave it how it is.

Making the Elemental monster micro scale is OK, right? Since mine is only 16 studs wide a giant monster just wouldn't fit. . .

I'm not going to enter, as my time and pieces are going to my town/landscape. But what does this mean?

Then it would'nt be quite natural, no? :sceptic:

All depends on if you consider the elemental "natural" :hmpf_bad:

I think everyone knew what I meant, but I guess that is true, a disaster caused by an elemental may not be so natural!
