Brickington Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 For Challenge VI, is the fortress city of Cedrica already overtaken?
SkaForHire Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 That is up to you and your story. I am playing with Revolword losing in the first MOC and never taking the city, while the last two MOCs are just giant parties! Ok, I probably won't do that.
PenPlays Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 For Challenge VI, is the fortress city of Cedrica already overtaken? Why yes, I mean where else would my MOC take place?
NiceMarmot Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That is up to you and your story. I am playing with Revolword losing in the first MOC and never taking the city, while the last two MOCs are just giant parties! Ok, I probably won't do that. How about in the first MOC, we throw such a huge party that Revolword joins in the fun, loses his magical staff and helm while playing strip beer pong, admits the whole takeover was just a ploy to get girls, and then passes out in a cauldron of punch?
robuko Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 And they all lived Happily Ever After. Strip Beer Pong, brilliant idea!
Maxim I Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Haha, and the giant party is situated at the campus of the University of Petraea! Well, that's indeed a fantastic idea
I Scream Clone Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Ooooo, can't wait to see that MOCed!
SkaForHire Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) One kegger to rule them all... One kegger to blind him... One kegger to bring them all and in the drunkeness unwind him. Edited January 18, 2013 by SkaForHire
Maxim I Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Yeeez, just bought the Golden Dragon set from Ninjago! It is really awesome (the dragon itself, but also the 3 minifigs)
kabel Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 As much as I like trash talking myself, so far trash talking in GOH was based on good mocing! I'm not sure I really like the current trend of trash talking for the sake of trash talk, whereas the number of new mocs is declining constantly. Somehow I think we need to find this balance again!
NiceMarmot Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Where is the challenge / prelude post in which Revolword seizes the High King? I searched and searched but can't find it anywhere. Maybe I'm clueless, but I've read the challenge thread several times and can't find it. I'm talking about the part of the story where he seizes the High King and harasses the courtiers and (I think) executes the HK's son who tried to protect him. I've found the part where Revolword finds out about the secret entrance to the palace, and then seizes the steward, but don't see anything after that. Did it get wiped out in one of the EB crashes? EDIT: Nevermind. It appears that I am confusing the Historica story with SOT's Rise of the Mage! So the last news we really know is that Revolword is in the palace, and plotting to capture the High King, but hasn't yet done so, right? Edited January 19, 2013 by NiceMarmot
soccerkid6 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 @NM: That's part of SoT's story: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/338303 I'm pretty sure it's not part of the official GoH storyline which is why its not in the challenge thread
Brickington Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Not to steal anyone's ideas, but what are you guys doing for Challenge IV? I have no idea what to do, so any ideas?
PenPlays Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) From Drinnian: I await, my colleague, Owlan's return. I stand here quietly on the Balcony of my office in the capitol building of Burrium. I see the lit Beacons of Burrium against the night sky as I look out at the distance beyond, waiting for any stray "Handys" to roll over the hills toward us. As Keeper of the Peace, Burrium will sit unless the people wish for it to be their battle. The moment we receive word form Lord Rex, we ride to Cedrica to take back the mighty fortress, no matter the people's choice. I have a feeling that the Wizard has honed his skills, and that I will see them be the end of thousands. Such is the way of a Peacekeeper. It is a sad job but one learns that one death is two lives saved for the Guilds. A question. Does the Fortress of Cedrica have a name? Edited August 21, 2013 by Penkid11
SkaForHire Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I don't know if it has a name, I can't remember it ever being mentioned. Maybe we could call it King's Rock, or some other suggestions: The Rock of Cedrica, The Bastion, LIghthaven, Crown's Court, Crown's Point, Crownsnest....

Maxim I Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 "The Citadel of Unity?" As much as I like trash talking myself, so far trash talking in GOH was based on good mocing! I'm not sure I really like the current trend of trash talking for the sake of trash talk, whereas the number of new mocs is declining constantly. Somehow I think we need to find this balance again! I don't really agree, as for Kaliphlin, we are on a roll lately. We do a lot of trashtalking, but also a lot of MOC'ing...
PenPlays Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 We need to make it sound important. Like a "there is nothing greater than this fortress" kind of name. I was thinking along the lines of "Crownlo Fortress" or "Hightless Keep" Or... Historus Fortress Unity Grounds Fortress Centralis (my personal favorite) Großeschloss Fortress (German for Big Castle ) Reaching Keep Cornerstone Fortress Let's find one that we can agree on!
Maxim I Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) or just: The Mivaw Fortress (short for Mega Impressive very amazing & wonderfull fortress) The Omygoh Citadel (Oh My Guilds Of Historica) Edited January 19, 2013 by DaMaximus
Kayne Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 It's funny, I was confusing SoT's Rise of the Mage story with ours as well! I was planning on having the King's son that was murdered hanging from some battlements.....but yeah that didn't happen in GoH!
Zilcho Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Is there anywhere where I can find some information on free builds? As in how they are scored to your guild, is each judged and given a score? Also, must each free build be in an individual thread to count or could I create one thread for my character's story, posting my free builds relevant to his story in there? Thanks
kabel Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Großeschloss Fortress (German for Big Castle ) nor really
SkaForHire Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Within the Eternal Walls of the Immortal City of Cedrica, stands a grand fortress, the Forever Sanctum?
Legonardo Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) the fortress of Cedrica? jeez the guilds are active at the mo, I've been a bit busy and am struggling to keep up with everything. did I start the hippy discussion or was that something else? Edited January 19, 2013 by Legonardo
