PenPlays Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 nor really Eh, Google Translate isn't the smartest thing in the world. I still like Fortress Centralis, although Historus Fortress is starting to grow on me. Final Vote anyone?
Rogue Angel Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 We need to make it sound important. Like a "there is nothing greater than this fortress" kind of name. Let's find one that we can agree on! I think the "fortress" will depend on the entry. I don't foresee a universal name at this point.
Brickington Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 United Fortress, what about that? Since this is the capital of the "united" guilds.
Maxim I Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Maybe it is indeed better that we all choose our own name for the fortress and that the winner of Chal VI will have chosen the official name
Rogue Angel Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I apologize for the mass bumping of topics. When I went through and updated the Index, I found a ton of builds I had missed. I tried to comment in reverse order, to keep the newest stuff at the top, but I apologize if I missed something, or backed something up. Just wanted to give some comment to all the great builds I've missed.
Maxim I Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Seriously, is there no one who claims the Eomer (with Dark green cape, Darkgreen&Gold shield, red torso, grey arms and grey&gold helmet)??? He has too much red for Mitgardia, He wears not enough light green for Avalonia (and no tights) He has too much green for Nocturnus In my eyes, he only fits in Varlyrio without cape and shield As no one claims him, I'll claim him for the Guild of Drakrydar (colours are (Dark) Green & Red)... kabel Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 @eccles: now that you show us this closeup I finally see that you also used a 1x2 plate technique, that's great!
de Gothia Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Seriously, is there no one who claims the Eomer (with Dark green cape, Darkgreen&Gold shield, red torso, grey arms and grey&gold helmet)??? Do we have to claim figs now? When we started this whole thing one of the main things was that we could take which faction we wanted and use it in the guild we belonged to... I´ve used Eomer many times now in my mocs and I´m planning on using him in upcoming as well! Everyone should feel free to use whatever fig he/she want´s to...
Brickington Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Where are the two armies of the hand going to? I know one is going to Albion, but what about the other one?
Maxim I Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 @Brickington: Queenscross The third army arrived in Mpya Stedor @DG: I maybe expressed myself the wrong way... It's not really about claiming, but I wanted to say this: if someone has those figures showing up in his Chall VI battle and he doesn't know from who he can say those reinforcements comes, he may say that they are from Drakrydar A bit more specific now: I have 17 of them to help my troops, and I asked if someone wants to "have sent them as reinforcements" but nobody here in Historica says that their city has those knights, so I am forced "give" them to Drakrydar... For me it was much better that someone said: "hey, I got some of them and they fit in my guild, so let's say I sent them to you". Because that would be much better for future relations... Anyway, they come now from Drakrydar in my story... @Ecc: I was referring to that
Brickington Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 @Brickington: Queenscross The third army arrived in Mpya Stedor Where is Queenscross and Mpya Stedor?
Maxim I Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) [/size] Where is Queenscross and Mpya Stedor? The proof that Avalonians never get further than Albion Culture barbars!! Check it here: http://images.wikia....d/Historica.jpg Queenscross is the "Gate" to Kaliphlin. It's the only place where you can easily cross the river and the Great Escarpment. It's a very easy place to defend, so if that would fall, that would mean we are really screwed! Mpya Stedor is historically seen not one of the 3 important cities of Kaliphlin (Barqa, Petraea & Qarkyr), but that's because it is only one year old. If Mpya Stedor would fall, it would be however a very important victory for Victor as this city is a symbol of the (new) Kaliphlin pride & wealth becuase it has some of the highest walls in Historica and a lot of gold & marmer in it's architecture. Brickington Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 The proof that Avalonians never get further than Albion Culture barbars!! I'm just new.
Maxim I Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) I'm just new. I know But in game, your family lives already for centuries in Avalonia Edited January 24, 2013 by DaMaximus
Brickington Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I know But in game, your family lives already for centuries in Avalonia Well in game, my father disappeared when I was at a early age.
PenPlays Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) I've been stuck at the bottom of a well for more than a century... I've been out of the well for some time now, but Only recently looked up Kaliphlin's map... Either the map I found was old, or there are too few oases in the Siccus Badlands, because your Kaliphlin land is barely settled yet! You call us uncultured tight wearers when you are afraid of a little more heat!?! You're desert people!! How is that an excuse!!! Edited January 24, 2013 by Penkid11
SkaForHire Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 The maps don't include every town and drill site in the Badlands, but there are not as many sources of water as one would think.
PenPlays Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 So, who has started on Challenge VI? I know I haven't!
NiceMarmot Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 So, who has started on Challenge VI? I know I haven't! I haven't started yet. Don't even really have any ideas or designs yet. Unfortunately have to clean up the LEGO tomorrow, as we're having a party at our house on Saturday. Did get a chance to help my son build his new Ninjago Golden Dragon set though
Maxim I Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I haven't started yet. Don't even really have any ideas or designs yet. Unfortunately have to clean up the LEGO tomorrow, as we're having a party at our house on Saturday. Did get a chance to help my son build his new Ninjago Golden Dragon set though I love that dragon but more on that later I've been stuck at the bottom of a well for more than a century... I am not really following on this one... What has "being affraid of a lil bit more heat" to do with "too few oases" and what has that to do with "barely settled yet"? There are more settlements than there are showed on the maps and a settlement is not always showed on every map, sometimes you have to search for other maps. Here you can see some other maps: http://guildsofhistorica.wikia.com/wiki/Kaliphlin_Maps However, I am kind of confused why it is the oldest map again in the first post and in the Kaliphlin page on the Wikia? Anyway, I posses an almost complete version @everyone else: I wonder: did you saw something on the teaser or was it just one black picture for you?
Brickington Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I started my first build, I for some reason, can't finish it.
robuko Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) So, who has started on Challenge VI? I know I haven't! Nope, I am putting my creative flows into the scifi contests this weekend. Historica resumes in February for me. I have some ideas on challenge 6, but nothing good enough to start building. I find the epic scale of this challenge is intimidating, I have to bring it down to something simple. I really got a lot of good ideas from our discussion in the Kali thread a few pages back, but I haven't found a way to express them yet. There seems to be quite a lot of "post a minifig to get a freebuild point" going on right now in GoH. Not sure whether to beat 'em or join 'em. Lots of respect to the excellent freebuilds we are seeing which are not on these lines, like Z's house and kabel's ambush. Edited January 25, 2013 by robuko
