Considering that on some pacific island it's still april 30th I still have about 2,5 hours time, right?

I am simply astounded at how good all the entries are. Stories, presentation, and builds. We've come a long way, this is a phenomenal way to finish the official story. Well done to everyone!

I agree! It is great to be able to be part of such a fantastic group of creative builders, so much to be inspired by! And so many well-written stories :)

I forgot my green bricks and plants at home, so never mind :sceptic:

I wonder who will be the last one to post an entry or a last part of his entry

Indeed, what a way to finish off the first chapter! The quality of these entries was outstanding as well :excited:

oh boy, what a great project goh is. Just take a look at how many of us have improved as builders and continue to do so! That's what it was all about and I'd say therefore it was a great success! Can't wait to see what's next in this great community!

Posted

@kabel: Could not agree more, the difference from my build for Challenge I and builds for Challenge VI is tremendous, and GoH is one of the biggest factors in my improving.

And even the builders who were already good have gotten better in my opinion

The improvement is what makes me enjoy this most. Soccerkid, LD (now that little dude has major skills!), Brickington, Kabel, Kia NRG... the difference from first build to last is astonishing... won't be too long before everyone is saying, "I wanted to build a 'soccerkid' model!"

What a phenomenal achievement! :classic:

Indeed it is a great showcasing of builds for the final challenge! Great job everyone!

Applause for everyone!

Wonderful, wonderful job! I'm disappointed that real life had to kick, but maybe it's for the best. Expect more builds from me sometime in early June. I have to make sure Owlan sails home safely (finally!).

I've got a question about Varlyrio. As it being the "5th Guild" is it really considered a guild?--In the sense that people can join it, enter contests, and earn gold for it? I cannot find info on this. I've been working on the Historica Wiki lately and that's something that should be figured out and placed there (Problem being I can't figure it out).

Posted

So far it was not really a guild of its own but a mere playground for our Historica characters. But maybe this will change, I don't know ...

CN, it's not the sort of guild you can join, but there was a Valaryio Challenge (by MikeyB), not too long ago, and anyone is free to build in it.

On another note, boy have there been a lot of Challenge entries! Great job everyone, I really was wondering how many there would be since it was such a time-consuming challenge! And I made it to the "Improved" list... thanks Z!

And also, I haven't recorded all the details from the Challenges on the Character info and Location thread... because, since some of them overlap, I need to know what actually happened and what would happen if you won before I can update the list. And also, the main idea was to help with Challenge VI so I'm not sure there's much point in keeping it updated. Of those of you who knew about it, did you use it/do you think you will? How much & was it info you could have easily gotten somewhere else? If a few of you could give your feedback on that I'd appreciate it. Do keep in mind that it's fairly time consuming for me, so I don't want to keep updating it if it really isn't that useful to the majority!

I didn't really used it for my chal VI entry as it were mostly my characters who played a role.

I still think it is awesome and I will use it back in the future.

But it's up to you to decide to go on or not :classic:

@Kai: I used it a bit  I think it makes it easier to find info on other characters, but to keep it updated is a huge task (especially when some crazy Mitgardians throw about 30 builds out at once).

The current location thing is probably the handiest bit and that is the hardest part to keep updated... obviously the final decision is yours, if you do keep updating it, I'm sure some (including myself) will use it.

But people could always check with other people on what their character is up to, and if you follow the forum regurlarly you probably already know :classic:

I think it would be better to migrate the info to the wiki, I will try to write about all my side characters and update my sigfig page there some time in the near future.

Ha, ha, keep it up  ! Anyways, I really do need to choose a place a write a bit of background story for Uridius Dratiphe, maybe near Mitgardia's coast where a river (couldn't find the name) branches into two (near the Islands of Solicitude)?

Kai,

I used it a lot since you made it, but I agree that it might not be worth your time to continue it. What if we mad a google form (do those still exist?) and once a month you could ask everyone who wants to be involved to update it, then you only have to spend a half and hour or so transferring the data? That might make it much less time consuming for you.
