Kikuichimonji Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I think the Virtual console prices were: NES: 5 Euro SNES: 7 or 8 Euro N64: 10 Euro I don't think any word on downloading Gamecube games is out yet. I think you just need to buy the games, since it has been confirmed that they will work on the Wii. I don't think you can download them. Quote
Starwars4J Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Well, yeah. I mean you can just play GCN games on the Wii...and besides, they're probably too big to be downloaded efficiently (or realistically), though the real reason is that they'd be cheaper to download, and Nintendo would end up losing money since they're still on the market ;-) Quote

Starwars4J Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 They'll only start allowing downloads online of GCN games when they stop selling GCN games altogether, which will be when the NEXT console comes out ;-) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 My local games store has already stopped selling gamecube games, which I'm pretty appaled with. Quote
prateek Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 in canada it is nov. 19. im gonna beg my parents for it. it also plays NGC games, which is a good thing considering i have 8 NGCGs Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 8 Cubes? Or 8 games? Well, I have 2 Cubes myself. One has a lens which couldn't take it anymore after 3 years of heavy use, so I got a second one. It'll be good to have a Wii around in case my second Cube fails on me too. Else that makes 23 useless games :-/ Quote
Lost Viking Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Yea, it is a good thing that the Wii is backwards compatible, because once my GCN stops running I would have 33 useless games! X-D Quote
JoeMI6 Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Hey guys, here are some cool vids of people from around the world playing Wii Sports: Wii Sports Looks like it'll be fun straight out the box. Quote
Zane Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Cool. But it's going to be hard to play when I'm forced to sit on top of a bunk bed to play. Maybe I need a room re-arrange.... Quote

Lord Thrawn Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Am I the only one noticing a slight lag between user input and the onscreen action in those WiiSports videos? Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 no, you're not. Wii looks awesome but I think I'll stick with my Xbox 360 for now. :-/ Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Keep in mind that it's a demo, and people still need to get used to the control scheme ;-) Quote
Lost Viking Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Yea, I noticed that too in a Red Steel video. I am sure they will fix it. ;-) Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Yeah, I hope they do. that would suck to go out and buy a slow console :-( Quote
JoeMI6 Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 Even if there is some slight lag present, it doesn't seem enough to totally ruin the gameplay. Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 From an e-mail I just got, USA/Canada only I believe Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I pre-ordered mine over a month ago :-D Quote
Lost Viking Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I'm getting mine the fun way... that is camping out X-D Quote
Lost Viking Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Sorry for double posting, but back on the topic of the controller delay, I found a video about programming the Wiimote. Anyways the last part, part 3 shows a small game the guy made and I noticed that there is no delay whatsoever... what do you guys think? 8- Quote
JoeMI6 Posted October 14, 2006 Author Posted October 14, 2006 Arguably, this could be due to the game being a lot simpler. But it does show that there is no lag normally. Quote

Yea, that is what I was thinking as well. But I realized that all of the recent videos do not have any lag opposed to the older ones from E3... Quote
