I'd like to recall if the desk has drawers, and if it does, I will search them.

There aren't any drawers.

I'd like to rip through the bookshelf wildly, and check every book for notes.

Marcus destroys several books as he throws all of them to the ground, making a complete mess out of the Jordan's Library. There's no apparent notes in the books checked.

I'd like to check under the rug and look at the titles of the books Marcus is checking.

Maybe I'll find myself some interesting books, I'm sure Alex won't need them anymore. :sweet:

There's a small folder underneath the rug. There's various titles of the books, there's several dozen there, but there's no apparent odd titles.

Is there anything on the desk?

Absolutely. But we could also ask Sarah if Alex was with her on that night.

There's a lamp, a snowglobe, and a rather large book.

I'd like to recall where Alex was on the night the Chief died.

"I believe he was home at that time."

I would like to examine the large book.

Pfft. :hmpf: The captain always goes in front.

Except when he sends the red shirt!

I'd like to open the folder and read its contents aloud.

There's some pictures in there featuring Alex and Julia, showcasing their affair.

Inside the book is a secret compartment.

Well. let's see what's in that secret compartment, then. I'll take a look.

Inside the secret compartment is a small bottle of pills, a passport, several hundred dollars neatly stacked, and a small pistol.

Now that's interesting. And some of you were going to disregard Alex as suspect. Although this might also belong to his wife. :sceptic:

I'd like to examine the passport and I'd like one of the police officers to check the pistol if it's loaded and if there are any bullets missing.

"Don't worry, I'll examine the gun, along with checking to see if the bills are counterfit."

I'd like to read any labels on the pills.

They belong to Alex. It's an anti-depressant.

The gun does not have any bullets missing, it is loaded. Do you have a way of seeing if the bills are counterfeited?

Ooh, this is a worrying find. It looks like Alex was ready to leave for some reason. I wonder if he intended leaving with... another woman?

Sarah, were you aware Alex suffered from depression? Did you ever see him take meds? Did he talk to you about this gun, or plans to go on a trip?

Still not sure how this is relevant to our mission, but perhaps the Chief was on to something about Alex.

Oh and I would like to count the pills and look at the expiry date, just to get an idea of whether the bottle is full or well used.

Bring them to the Liquor store, they'll know!

The pill bottle looks about half full.

"I knew he was on an anti-depressant, but I never knew he owned a gun."
